Lise Darly releases album on-line
Thirteen songs which could become Lise Darly's first album are available on her personal website here and her MySpace page here. Lise is ready to release these songs on CD, but - as with many artists - the only thing she is missing is a record deal. The singer has been working on her first album while also singing with a group called Goldsingers.
Lise who is 25 years old has been singing since she was a teenager; her first break came when she won a popular television casting show, Graine de star, on the French Riviera. In 2001, she sang professionally with different local groups. That's also how she came to record the backing vocals of successful singers like Dave and Jeane Manson (Luxembourg 1979).
In 2004, when Monaco returned to the Eurovision Song Contest, Lise Darly entered the national selection and missed the opportunity to go to Istanbul by a small margin. She was among the four finalists to perform Notre planète. No regret; the team including Philippe Bosco gave Lisa a second chance, choosing her to sing the 2005 Monegasque entry, Tout de moi, with the help of the 65-musicians philharmonic orchestra of Monaco. Still the ballad failed to impress televoters, and Monaco failed to qualify for the final.

Lise Darly was my second Rita Guerra...
I was soo sure to see both of them ending up high with such beautiful songs and such stunning performances... and then they ended near to the bottom...
'Tout de moi' simply had too much class and sophisticated understatement to stand a chance with the stupid European televoting audience. It was the last of a dying species that once made the ESC so special. Today, the ESC is just an international idol show with songs that are similar or identical to other songs I can find in shops or on the internet all year round.
Notre Planete didn't suit her. By the way, I liked the Monegasque entry very much in 2005, despite everybody knew it was not going to qualify, because of...
1) Classical music
2) It's Monaco!
From what i can understand, i was the only person in euroland that dispised that song in 2005. Couldn't even listen to it the full three minutes because by my taste it was truly awful.
I love Lise Darly.
She was great in 2005 her song was great as well, and it is always reminds me of a 'fairytale'. I absolutely love it.
Please Monaco come back in 2008 and such great songs like 'Tout de moi' & 'Notre planéte'!!!!!!!!!
I pray for Monaco in 2008 & a beautiful french song too....
Monaco I love you, really want them to return this year and even if they don't qualify at least we get to hear some more of the french language. Please come back. XXX
Lise Darly, was just stunning in 2005 she was so but so underrated!
i thought she was fantastic with Tout de moi. beautiful woman. i really hope she gets to release an album.
Kevin, how dare you ? Croatia was my favourite that year !
i have to say 2005 was one fo teh best years for songs so many great ones - loads of great ones in the sf, which didnt qualify ¬¬ like andorra, monaco, iceland, netherlands and then rubbish like croatia got through ¬¬ grrrrrrr
i really want a small country to qualify
monaco & andorra are the most unluckiest of them all (along with the uk
)
good luck next year
Great song, "Tout de moi" - another proof that the televoting system really has its weaknesses!
Thank god she didn't sing "Notre Planete", it was such a weak song...
But her entry in 2005, "Tout de moi" is just wonderful! I still love it, it's so classy and Lise interprets it perfectly.
That she got second last with such a great song and performance is nothing but a shame but in 2005, many great songs got left behind. It was a year were almost nobody of my favourites was in the final yet it was a very strong year!
she have a great song
Top ten on 2005 of me
I really love that song, "Toute de moi" was so well sung, so beautifully performed.... Shame on Europe, I can not remember where she ended up in the semi but wasn't very good. Compare that to the winner this year and than you realise what this voting system does. Monaco withdrew and I absolutely understand... Shame shame shame
Lise Darly is one of the best singers to be on Eurovision in the last couple of years ... so should of qualified in 2005 !!
