Krazy Mess Grovers, KMGs, Belgium 2007

Groovers prepare for a party!

European Union in a Krazy Mess

A potential audience of half a billion will be introduced to the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 this Saturday, when The Krazy Mess Groovers (KMGs) will take the stage of the Stars of Europe concert in Brussels, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome together with many other European stars.

As you could read on our partner site, Belgovision.com earlier, RTBF did not plan a European promotion tour in order to promote the Belgian entry for Helsinki, Love Power. However, one or two surprises can be expected. This Saturday, The KMG’s are one of the many Eurovision acts taking part in the celebrations, to be held at the foot of the Atomium in Brussels. Stars of Europe will be broadcast in almost 40 European countries. The following broadcasters have confirmed their participation:RTVA (Andorra), PTV (Armenia), VRT (Belgium), BHRT (Bosnia-Herzegovina), BNT (Bulgaria), HRT (Croatia), CBC (Cyprus), CT (Czech Republic), DR, TV2 (Denmark), ETV (Estonia), YLE (Finland), FT4 (France), GT (Georgia), TVB, ZDF (Germany), ERT (Greece), DUNA, MTV (Hungary), IBA (Israel), Sky (Italy), RTK (Kosovo), LTV (Latvia), LRT (Lithuania), RTV (FYR Macedonia), PBS (Malta), RTCG (Montenegro), SNRT (Morocco), NPS (Netherlands), TVP (Poland), RTP (Portugal), TVR (Romania), RTS (Serbia), STV (Slovakia), RTVS (Slovenia), RTVE (Spain), SF (Switzerland), NTU (Ukraine)

Other confirmed acts include  Kate Ryan (ESC 2006), Nana Mouskouri (ESC 1963) and Las Ketchup (ESC 2006), Hooverphonic, Ozark Henry, Axelle Red, Maurane, Helmut Lotti, Carla Bruni, Zucchero, Laurent Voulzy, Scala, Simply Red, The Scorpions, Gipsy Kings, Miguel Angel Munoz, Lou Bega, Kim Wilde and Nadiya. An earlier press release also announced the presence of Clouseau (ESC 1991) and Lordi, the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 2006.

The KMGs will perform in the semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki after Kate Ryan missed out on qualification for the final last year in Athens.

One of the best Belgian songs EVER! It's better than Spain, France and UK - sorry Big 4. And better than the uninspired and boring Swedish song too.

Only the KMG's in Brussels ?? I would like to see others 2007 ESC entry's. I don't think that i will come to this celebration.

I like the Belgian entry a lot - but it's more because I generally like disco and Earth Wind & Fire type of thing, less because I think the song is special in any way. Definitely the best entry from that part of Europe though, with the possible exeption of Germany.

However, sadly it will do ZIP - there's nobody to vote for this. Kate Ryan stood a better chance last year and look what happened to her....

Good luck anyhow and congrats for sticking with quality rather than rubbish (as is the case of Switzerland and UK, for example).

A really bad song from Belgium, that is getting of your nervs when you hear it the second time! Hopefully it won´t pass the semi final.
