Event marketing traineeships!
Telia Sonera offers Eurovision Internships
As the presenting partner of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2007 in Helsinki, TeliaSonera offers a three weeks paid internship for two students and/or graduates.
We are very happy and proud to be able to offer future professionals this unique opportunity to improve their CV and get a once in a lifetime experience of working with the biggest musical event in Europe, says Karin Moberg, Vice President Brand Management, TeliaSonera AB.
Students and graduates born 1980-1987 in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania and Spain get a chance of improving their CV thanks to TeliaSonera offering two positions as “Event marketing trainee” and “New Media trainee” at ESC 2007. This opportunity, in co-operation with Nokia and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), makes the connection between our mobile services, music and young people obvious, continues Karin Moberg.
The application process starts March 19 by testing knowledge regarding mobile services, ESC and Nokia via SMS questions. Two finalists from each country will be chosen to meet a professional jury in Stockholm on April 11. Application to the competition is open to all in the age group and done via www.teliasonera.com/esctrainee or via the local operators´ sites (Telia, Sonera, Netcom, Omnitel and Yoigo).
TeliaSonera has been granted extensive pan-European event, association, media and new media rights for the upcoming events. The 52nd Song Contest will be hosted in Helsinki by the Finnish National Broadcaster YLE and will include two live televised shows in one week: the Semi-Final on May 10 and the Final on May 12 2007. In 2006 the Finnish group Lordi won the ESC in Athens.
