Win three signed CD's!
Christine Guldbrandsen releases new album
Apart from one traditional Norwegian song, all the rest have been tailor made to suit Christine's unique voice. The style of the songs varies from soft ballads to "richly coloured soundscapes painted with broad strokes".
Christine has been involved in every phase of the production of the CD. She has co-written many of the songs together with her creative team: "It´s unthinkable for me not to be an integral part of the recording process. The album becomes a very important part of me, and by playing an active role in the whole creative process, the end product is very much my own." she says.
Together with the new songs, the album includes a new and improved version of Alvedansen, Norway's entry in the 2006 the Eurovision Song Contest. Alvendansen became a huge hit in Norway, staying on the Norsktoppen (a weekly radioshow where listerens vote for their favourite norwegian song) for 17 weeks and was also voted the fifth most popular song of year.
Success requires talent as well as a whole lot of hard work and Christine certainly knows that : "I try to participate actively in every aspect of my singing career, including the office work, both because it teaches me a lot about my business, and because I feel it is the right way for me to do things", says Christine.
When asked about her private life and whether it suffers from all the hard work she puts into her career, Christine says: "It is a sacrifice I make willingly. Music is an immensely important part of who I am; I can´t imagine a life without the possibility to express myself in music and song - it would be empty and colourless. I always feel deeply grateful for the privilege of being able to share music with others through song".

What a singer!
And what a woman!
I AM IN LOVE WITH HER!
Christine is such a fantastic artist. The Surfing In The Air album is immaculate. It's so well worth getting for anyone who has an appreciation of great music.
I want this new album! I wonder if it will be on sale in Finland.
Christine is great just like her album !! Good Luck !! I have order her album !!
Norway lost its opportunity to win for a 3rd time when it decided not to send Queentastic. Alvedansen was a nice song but rather old fashioned with little appeal in most countries. The interpretation from Christine was however excellent.
It is very strange that she did not well in ESC 2006.
She deserved at least one place in top 4.
Good luck beautiful from Greece.
You were excellent.
And this is the result of some countries that only care to win even if they dont have the best song
and they vote for each other strategically (especially ex-soviet countries , ex-yugoslavian countries).
Shame,shame,shame
Alvedansen was also one of my favourites last year. I listened to some of the songs of her new album and I like especially "Mellom himmel og jord" and "Den dag kjem aldri". Lykke til (good luck), Christine!
norway was my favourite last year

Oh, my favourite from ESC 2006, still don't understand how Christine wasn't in top 10, that was really weird because she was so great, I often listen to Alvedansen and is one of the songs that will be special of all time ESC songs for me.
ahhh this great singer!
she deserves much better than what she got!
I agree, great singer!
alvedansen was a good song, no doubt, but it had a really unlucky draw
