Françoise Hardy to release new album

Françoise Hardy, who represented Monaco in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1963, is going to release her new album called Parenthèses... (Brackets...). It will contain twelve songs, all of them duets with famous singers. One of the titles is a duet with Julio Iglesias, who sang for Spain in 1970 and went on to become one of the best selling artists ever to enter the contest.

The duet, a remake of a song Hardy already published in the 1980s, is called Partir quand même (Nevertheless leaving) and will be the first single out of the album to be published. According to a fan website, it's a dream coming true for Françoise. The complete album will be released on 27th November.

Tracklist of Parenthèses:

  1. Que reste-t-il de nos amours? (What is left from our loves?)                                                        Duet with Alain Bashung
  2. Modern style                                                                                                                                        Duet with Alain Delon
  3. Amours toujours, tendresses, caresses (Always love, tendernesses, caresses)                    Duet with Jacques Dutronc
  4. Partir quand même (Nevertheless leaving)                                                                                      Duet with Julio Iglesias
  5. My beautiful demon                                                                                                                             Duet with Ben Christophers
  6. Soleil (Sun)                                                                                                                                             Duet with Alain Souchon
  7. Cet enfant que je t'avais fait (This child that I had made for you)                                              Duet with Rodolphe Burger
  8. Le fou de la reine (The queen's crazy one)                                                                                   Duet with Henri Salvador
  9. Les sédiments                                                                                                                                        Duet with Arthur H

  11. La valse des regrets (The waltz of the regrets)                                                                              Duet with Hélène Grimaud
  12. Les lendemains qui chantent (The coming days that are singing)                                              Duet with Benjamin Biolay

Françoise Hardy finished 5th in the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest with her self-composed and self-written song L'amour s'en va (Love goes away). Julio Iglesias achieved a 4th position in 1970 with his entry Gwendolyne that was also composed and written by the singer.

I love Francoise Hardy! It will be interesting to hear her duett with Maurane....both their voices are so beautiful!

If Belgium select a French singing artist i would love it to be Maurane
