A new look...

The Slovene national pre-selection show will appear in a new look this year, after broadcaster RTVSLO decided to refresh EMA\'s concept. For the first time, the winner will be chosen through four semi-finals and a big final show. The dates have now finaly been set.
11th January 2004 : first semi-final 18th January 2004: secound semi-final 25th January 2004: third semi-final 1st February 2004: fourth semi-final 15th February 2004: EMA final show in Ljubljana In each semi-final show the television viewers will choose three favourites by televoting. After 12 paricipants are selected, an international jury will choose another four, which means that on EMA\'s final evening, there will be 16 participants. The winner will be chosen by a combination of televoting and a proffesional jury. Article written by our new Slovene editor Denis Zivcec.

have to agree leendert...however i loved netherlands 2003...i watched all and thought esther hart only came 13th because she was right after the break..at my europarty, it was cigarette break time and we thought the commerical break would last at least 5minutes oh no...2 mins later it started...otherwise esther would have made the top 8...the worst position at esc are now 14/15 and the last two

Such an elaborate selection process is does not necessarily mean a better entry (see the Netherlands 2003!), but a fresher apprach from Slovenia might give us something better than Karmen's antics. I really liked Slovenia in 1995, 1997 and 2001, but 2003's terrible result was, unfortunately, fully deserved. Best of luck for 2004!

In the years 97 and 98, I think, I wanted Slovenia to win...!

Good luck for 2004.
