Hvanndalsbræður look interesting, however, jury will possibly make them suffer.

How many songs will be in the final? Can someone explain me the rules there? 6 songs qualify directly and the rest? Jury, wild cards? Thanks in advance :-)

"One more day" is a song built under the Eurovision standard that would do well in Oslo.

Yeah! My two favourites made it to the final! Iceland has the best preselection of all of the countries!

Hvanndalsbræður is the best out of all the Icelandic entries! It's rather good actually. Nonetheless, none of them have been good really.

I also think the best songs qualified tonight :)

New in Town
I didn't like "Someday" either (lol, it was written by 3 Swedes and a Dane living in Sweden).

Good result, although I really did think Now and Forever was going to represent Iceland this year, but the performance wasn't particularly charismatic and Edgar had some real trouble hitting those high notes unfortunately.

Jogvan's song sounds like a mediocre song that's up to an international standard, rather than a great song from Iceland. I don't really like it.

Hvanndalsbræður's song is catchy, but I don't usually like this kind of music. It sounds quite sort of Irish in parts, I think the main reason I like it is because it's in Icelandic, but I'll be surprised if it wins and STAYS in Icelandic!

Next week had better be VERY good if Iceland wants to qualify from the Eurovision semi-final!! I fear Hera Bjork will just come back with another Someday kind of song. Very typical Eurovision. =

* correction

I was meant to say "those people in OGAE fanclubs" and not "in EBU" offcourse... silly me

@ Stefan Sigfinnsson

Sorry, but it doesn't say anything that Hera's song was voted the best out of those that didn't qualify because it would have not qualified in ESC if it was actually send there to compete...

Those people in the EBU has very old-fashion traditional campy taste (no offense to everyone but that's the truth) and does not reflect the taste of the millions of voters around Europe...

Maybe her song will be good in the Icelandic selection, but "Someday" was a DISASTER of a song...

but hey... if people like it good for them...

Remember guys that Hera's song Someday was voted by margin the best song not to qualify to Moscow. And also remember that the composer of her song in the Icelandic final composed This is my life and Tell me. Örlygur Smári has also worked with Paul Oscar on his latest album from 2007 that sold extremely well. And remember she was part of the Icelandic team last year in the backing vocals for Yohanna.

@ arnar jonsson

If Hera's song will be anything close to her entry in the Danish selection last year, it will be SOOO BAD!

That song was so awfully tacky and bad in all possible ways... NO country should send a song like that one lol

I don't like these songs at all!! :( But I didn't like any song in Iceland second semi!! :(
I still hope for some good song in third semi!! :)
