Armenia: Sirusho to appear at Lemesos in Cyprus
Armenian superstar Sirusho will be present in Cyprus for the junior Eurovision Song Contest. She will be there to support, guide and advise Monika Manucharova, the young singer representing her country in the lead up to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Sirusho, who was increadibly popular amongst Eurovision Song Contest fans and was even tipped to win the 2008 running, but finished in a respectable 4th position at the Final.
The role of Armenia's former Eurovision Song Contest hope is limited to supporting the young delegates in Cyprus, and Sirusho is not scheduled to make an appearance on the show itself.
The 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the 6th running, will take place on the 22nd of November in Lemesos, Cyprus.

well we've got the results, Im glad we've her success, it was a perfect song maybe if songs like that hasn't won in a row it would have won. Would be nice to see her again I like her style.
@ Greekboy0522
LOL
A "BIT" off!???
Yea plssssssssssss i wont her to sing at jesc
Sirusho should had won!
Yeah but to the average viewer that has never heard the studio version before, she didnt seem that bad. She she was a bit off, but the vocals sounded OK.
I think that the main problem for Sirusho on the Finale-night was the vocal arrangement.
On the record one can clearly hear what was recorded as a solo-track and as a chorus-track. But live she tried to cover all the voices at the same time, and it sounded breathless and out of tune....
But i guess that it is a matter of priority. Backingvocals or dancers..
Norway chose backingvocals, and we didn´t come THAT far behind Armenia.
Qélé Qélé!!!
Who needs good vocals when you can move like Sirusho!!!
She looked absolutely stunning on stage - best dressed in my opinion and an amazing natural beauty! I always knew she would be the best Armenian entry yet and if she had been later in the running order, you never know, we could have been going to Yerevan in 2009!
I loved this song from the start and all that's left to say is best of luck to an amazing singer and woman!!!
x-X-x
p.s. Raise your hands if you would rather see Sirusho perform in Lemasos than Dima! (joke!
)
She is one of my favourite ESC artists ever! the best of luck to her!
qele qele !
I agree, her vocals were not good on the night and tbh I wasn't very keen on the song either. But welcome to Stockholm in December, Sirusho
Mina
Well I don't know if this makes it any clearer. But both Jessica Garlick and Jemini complained that the sound in their earpieces whilst they were performing was awful, and made it alot harder, Jemini proved that point obviously lol!
+ Jessica said that most of the artists at ESC02 were having the same problems. Maybe Sirusho couldn't hear herself in her earpieces properly?
One of my favorites from 2008, and a great performance (even though Vocals were a bit off). I think she is planning some sort of album in Greece? When I was there in September, she was on TV. But I didnt catch it. Anyone know anything?
Before Eurovision (and after) she came to Greece and I heard her sing qele qele a capela and she was awesome. I wonder if something was wrong with the sound in Eurovision.
Well I agree with you Mina that I like her vocals, I just think they were bad on the night. In fact on her album "qele qele" there are some really good songs, especially some of the ballads
"I still breathe" and "strong" are my favourites
And "Herranum Em" is really good aswell
I also think she'll return to Eurovision one day. I didn't like the song but I like her and her voice
I also think Sirusho will come back in the future
She was great this year, well her song is really good . . . not so sure about her vocals, but the performance, dancing was great, and I am willing to overlook her hairstyle lol
I think she could have easily won had she entered in 2007, but this year there was a big number of women singing similar sort of songs with similar sort of performances, so they all sort of cancelled one another out.
Anyway I wouldn't be surprised if she wins in the future!
She needs to find a new hairdresser first though lol
She rocked! She will def. come back in the near future
I agree, not the best vocally in Belgrade!
ye . she wsnt great "live"
Yeah but she would need to improve her vocals
i wouldnt be surprised to see sirusho at esc again
Sirusho is really good! One of the best in 2008.
That is very kind of Sirusho to go to Cyprus to support Monika (as she is going to need it - Lol).
