Hadise a confirmed candidate
TRT: We are still in negotiations!
Today, two major Turkish newspapers, Akşam and Hürriyet, report that it will be Hadise who will represent Turkey in 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. TRT, the Turkish broadcaster, officially confirmed to esctoday.com for the first time that Hadise is indeed one of the candidates under consideration but they have made it clear that discussons are still ongoing with her as well as with other artists.
Once a final decision has been made and contracts are signed, all will be revealed at a press conference. This is expected in the very near future, but at this stage, esctoday.com can confirm that no confirmation of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest representative can be made.

I agree, before the contest I did not like Rimi rimi.... But on the evening itself I thought the whole thing came together and I absolutely loved it.

don't forget gülseren with "rimi rimi ley" that was the biggest mistake in the century...
This is great would love see her in Moscow shes great hope song will sound as Stir me up would love see also good quality as this song is also from Croatia ( but i doubt ...)

Very good luck to Turkey. In the last 9 years Turkey´s only "bad mistake" was Kenan Dogulu, so yes, rock our world again, Turkey.

the reason why we are soooo lucky is, she is brillant! has a good voice, makes very good stage performances (look at tmf awards 2006, 2007)
she's famous in europe... turks want her since 3 years to represent turkey but TRT chose each year another one - kenan dogulu or mor ve ötesi wasn't a bad choise but to bring the victory to turkey or makes highest points could it with hadise true! I am happy, very happy about the new!!!
Don't get me wrong, I do not want to spoil the party but when UK sent us an Idol/X-factor artist, there is lots of commends. Like fe this year with Andy. Hadise is exactly the same, a little singer, that was thrown out of the Idol competition after a few weeks. She did not have 1 big hit in Belgium (Turkey I don't know), but you guys are so predictable, a good looking singer and all the little fans here start screeming..... Anyway I wish Turkey best of luck as it's true for the last 6 years they sent some really good entries, especially Athena and this year's entry.

I don't understand why some broadcasters are so hurried for announcing their chosen artists this year!
Last year the first announcement was made by Israel on November 14th. This year, it's October 22nd and we have already three artists announced.

Of course I think Hadise is the best choice for Turkey and I now realize that Belgium has to send someone else. My Turkish favourites are 2003, 2004 and 2008.
