Panta rei
Serbia: Jelena Tomasevic to release debut album
At the end of this month, Jelena Tomasevic's debut album will be released in Serbia. It will be called Panta rei, a phrase which derives from Greek meaning Everything changes. As esctoday.com can exclusively reveal today, the album is currently being mastered in New York by the same team behind the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. It will contain 9 tracks by Zeljko Joksimovic and Jelena herself has written the lyrics to five of the songs and was personally responsible for the production of one of them. Dejan Ivanovic (B&H 06, Serbia 07) and Fahrudin Pecikoza (B&H 1993 and 2006) have also contributed to the album, having written the lyrics to two of the tracks.
Jelena is set to surprise her fans as the album will not only include her usual sound but also many songs with distinct latin influences. There will also be strong ethnic elements throughout the album as well as many live instruments. This Friday, the video for Okeani, the first single from the CD, will be shot in Serbia.
Balkan Routes Vol. 1, the latest compilation album Jelena participated in together with Zeljko and the song Nikola Tesla has done very well so far in Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, the UK and Russia. The album was released for the first time by a Greek label for the entire world, even Serbia. You can listen to the song here.

Danniela, I agree with You 1000%... ORO is so powerfull song, with so high emotions in it but the stage performance was a little bit to deadly (hm... if I did write what I want to say, to slleply, not lifely...). Try to find on Y T her video for song Košava (Kosava is the wind that is now going on from river Dunav to city during winter) .. that is her best for me... Good luck Jelena!
Jelena should had won!
That is great news !!! Jelena is super !! I can't wait for her album !!!
Jelena is both a wonderful person and singer. She was amazing in Belgrade with Oro, loved her performance of Jutro. Serbia thanks for giving us such beautiful music and singers. Dying to listen to her new album!!!! Love Serbia! Love Jelena! Hvala!
Well...album will surley be great...i have no doubt...Jelena is amazing singer...
@Ajdin
The song was so romantic and it deserved a dressing which would bring a note of years which have passed( i agree the dress at the national final wasnt perfect bout imagine something like that in white and with a long tail...).
Her dressing and choreography was wrong IMO.
I loved Oro. Good luck to Jelena
Jelena had good powerful ballad, and I expected her in top 5, but her performance was bad. She could leave such strong impression with that song, but she didn't and that's why I believe she got 6th place... Aldo not bad, I was hoping for more.
@Daniela
You gotta be kidding?
Her dress from serbian national final was a big mess.
For me, she was way better on Eurovision. Her stage performance was good, but I just expected something more (something unique as Marija Serifovic's stage performance in Helsinki).
Anyway, yes, I agree with Jonny. She deserved her TOP10. Congr. Serbia.
I liked "ora" ALOT but something didnt work at the stage appearance(i liked the graphics but the the dancing couple wasnt anything special plus i would had prefered her dressed in a way she was at the Serbian national final.....).
Anyway iam waiting for her cd
Goodluck Jelena
Good luck to her
Whilst at first her song didn't appeal to me, it did grow on me in the end and I think she deserved her top 10
