Anna Maria Jopek in Hollywood Bowl
Anna Maria Jopek, who represented Poland back in 1997 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Ale Jestem and came 11th with 54 points took part in a special concert called Bossa Nova at 50. This concert took place on the 3rd of September 2008 in Hollywood Bowl.
Oscar Castro-Neves is the musical director of the concert and Eliane Elias, Ivan Lins, Marisol Montalvo, Kenny Rankin and Maria Rita were the other special guests.
Bossa nova - the lilting, sensual sounds of samba mixed with cool jazz and syncopated guitar rhythms- was born in 1958 with Jobim's Chega de Saudade. Castro-Neves and special guests (besides AMJ Kenny Rankin, Luciana Souza, Eliane Elias and others) examined bossa nova's sultry history.
Anna Maria Jopek released her first album after 1997 Eurovision Song Contest with the Eurovision Song Ale Jestem and, after that, she released 11 more albums. The last one, called ID, was released in 2008. In Poland, ID went platinum in just two weeks.

Ale Jestem is one of ESC songs I remember more clearly. Great contribution from Poland. A great song and a great performance.
