New monthly night from UKeurovision
Schlager Parties back in London
UKeurovision has teamed up with The Enclave, a recently opened trendy lounge bar and club in the heart of Soho to bring a new monthly night to the London calendar. The events will take place on the last Friday of every month and can hold a maximum of 200 people across all three areas of the venue.
The launch night for the UKeurovision Schlager Party will be Friday 26th September and will be followed in October with a Halloween Schlager Party as the last friday falls on the 31st of the month.
The website www.schlagerparty.co.uk is currently undergoing redevelopment and will become the home of the club night. It will also feature on the www.ukeurovision.com website shortly.
- Tickets for the September and October events are available via ticketsource.co.uk can now be purchased via www.schlagerparty.co.uk or by clicking here.
Organisers are also looking to take the night beyond the capital and are looking for venues around the country to take the Schlager and Eurovision club night out to those who can't make regular trips to London. Anyone with venue recommendations can email info@schlagerparty.co.uk.
A new facebook group has also been launched to keep track of upcoming events and let party goers know about future events. You can also find information there about the upcoming UKeurovision Theatre Night at Eurobeat, The Musical on Friday 12th Septerber at London's Novello Theatre.

Jonny
I haven't a clue
The TVs don't fit in.
Stockholm
lol and estonia didn't get very far, so you're lucky you didn't chose "I love europe"!!
(By the way, what was up with all those TV's on the stage during Carola & Andreas's performance????
)
Jonny
I agree. "One love" wasn't bad but a bit boring. Rongedal's song was much better. I really liked it. As for "half naked dancers with flags on" Estonia tried a similar concept
Stockholm
"I can't understand that so many people voted for "I love Europe"."
OMG I couldn't agree more!!!
I do not see the attraction with that song, its cheap, cheesy and obviously trying to get votes from all over europe by having half naked dancers with flags on** . . . . aaaaghghg!!!!
And as for Carola & Andreas, their song wasn't better than Rongedals I can certainly say that. Although I do like "one love", its a bit predictable and can get very boring quite easily!
**(not a bad idea though lol!! it just really didn't work!)
Jonny,
Yes, poor Patrik. I can't understand that so many people voted for "I love Europe". And Carola & Andreas got more points than Rongedal the first time.
OMG and checking the figures a bit more, Thérèse Andersson only made it to the second chance by 41 votes over Patrik Isaksson (who's song I like alot
)
I was just looking at the voting figures actually, and Michael Michailoff nearly made it to the top 5 in semi final 1, there was only about 2,000 votes between him and Velvet
I really like "thats love" and would have loved to see it in the final
Stockholm
Yes that is a shame
Apparently if the format that you will use next year was used in 2008, Velvet would have made it to Second chance
Jonny
I feel sorry for Velvet. In the first televoting round she was in 4th place but then she lost to Suzzie Tapper.
Mazarra
You have good music taste!!
Stockholm
Wow, I didn't realise she was so successful in Sweden
Also i've noticed the style of music she uses in MF is very different to her normal chart music, maybe to get further in MF she should sing a song closer to her normal type of music?
Mazarra
Yes, Velvet is one of the backing singers/dancers for Sweden in Kyiv 2005
Jonny
I remember that people didn't like Velvet's dress in 2006. Her vocals in 2008 were better and yet she had a cold.
"Rock down to .." was number one for 22 weeks in the Swedish Dance Chart and "Don't stop movin' " was a big hit too
@ Jonny
Ahhh it's an amazing cover! thanks for the link
Her voice is perfect with the song, I love it
Mazarra
OMG 'Fix me' is amazing aswell!
I can't believe she didn't qualify in MF this year, she had one of the best songs this year and they didn't even send her to second chance!! And today I just discovered her cover of "rock down to electric avenue" - http://www.youtube.c(...)&feature=related - it really does rock!!
@ Stockholm
Do you know, was she a backing singer in 2005 for Sweden in ESC? Me & my friend are really sure we see her in the background, if not some girl who looks very much like her.
I wanna go!!
@ Jonny, yess! I love velvet!! Especially "Fix Me" was really under-rated here
Stockholm
lol!
I didn't know Velvet was a backing singer . . . I think part of the reason why she doesn't do too well at MF is also because her vocals aren't the greatest. Especially in 2006 she had a great song but she was let down by her vocal performance, but she did improve in 2008
Jonny
First you try to snatch BWO and now Velvet
Velvet didn't have much success in MF but she has actually had a few big hits in Sweden. Before she participated in MF 2006 she was one of the backing singers/dancers in MF and in ESC for 5 years
Even though I hate Soho, I am so going !!!
This is great news for UK fans, can't wait!
Personally I think the UK should hire Velvet for 2009, shes schlager and she isn't getting much luck in Sweden, so she should come to the UK!
Nanne did the same in 2001
fantastic news!
It doesn't seem to be a very big venue does it? The club only holds 80 people...
