With a share of 10 euros

Belgium: Become one of the KMG’s producers!

Last year’s Belgian entrants, the KMG’s (Krazy Mess Groovers) are presently searching for a producer to give birth to their second CD – the debut CD was released in 2006, under the title Funk Soul Power. And everyone can help them, buying a share of 10 euros (or more, of course).

“We are now working on a new album. If you want to help us, you have the possibility to finance the KMG’s. Just go on  www.yakamusic.com... That can be read on the group’s Myspace. When on yakamusic.com, people discover a lot of Belgian artists, who have chosen this way to raise funds for their projects.Regarding the KMG’s , a total of 5 songs can be heard, 4 being recorded “live” and the other one as a “demo”. Until today, the 9-musicians band has received 5,650 euros, which makes 11% of the price of a CD album production.

The group will be on stage next September 12 at the Strassen Musik Festival, in Luxembourg, and each Friday night, 10 PM, from September 20 on, at the Live Music Café, in Brussels.

With Love power, the KMG’s placed second to last in Helsinki, failed to qualify Belgium for the 2007 Eurovision final.

About Dima's pronunciation of impossible:

I think that in Russian "o" is pronounced "ah". I know a Russian whose name is spelt "Oleg" but pronounced "Aaaleg".

Oh, I just saw that video but to be honest I pronounce impossible the same way he does, maybe he pronounces it a bit heavier but that's all. In general I find his accent pretty good especially for someone who started learning English at an older age and in most songs I can't even understand he has an accent. Of course in Believe, because it's a ballad and everyone is concentrated on the voice, every mistake sounds worse than it is.

i find this video with the "impossible" of dima pretty silly and it does not prove anything. for me it remains fact that dima's pronuntiation in english is annoyingly bad and it spoils a bit his good songs. An i can not understand why it is s difficult for him to sing in english, since musicians tend to imitate sounds very quickly and as far as i know he has been spending a lot of time in L.A. but still, he is so good elsewhere, that he is frgiven for this :-)

Jonny,
lol. That building did look like the Globe :)

Stockholm Yeah! Its mainly the woven web like metal at the back which looks like the outside of the birds nest stadium :)
Also on the island of Tiree, that we were talking about roughly a week ago, theres this building which looks like a mini-globen - http://farm4.static.(...)0_d2bf3a36f0.jpg?v=0 :)

Euro Sheep

Dima meant American pronunciation,accent.
Btw, many criticized him for word "impossible".This video explains why he sang like that. It's made not by me.

"MF 2006 ...the stage reminds me alot of the Beijing Olympic stadium, the birds nest."
Yes, now I see what you mean :)

Jonny,
lol. I didn't notice Barry before :)

Vincent,
I agree. Helena's performance in MF wasn't good. I think the dancers destroyed the whole thing.

Euro Sheep,
Come to think of it I've seen that advert too.

I agree with Vincent, there was something missing from her MF performance, but her MYMU performance was very good! :)

And on that subject, there was something I noticed about her "Making your mind up" performance long ago. Watch the video of Elena at our selection, and skip to 3:29, and you will see Barry Viniker in the aud!ence!! :)

the performance of Helean in MF 2006 was for me one of the worst performances she has ever given: her dress looks awfull, her make up too, her dancers look very amateurish, and the cheer leadres in the bckround dancing around made a mess out of her performance. But in the UK preselection show i see the helena we know: shining, uplifting and very beautifull. This is one of my best performances of "Number 1"

@ Jonny K
I know! Strangely no Marija this year :P and I would rather not have Dima next year when he thinks our language is called "American" - what a twat! :P (esctoday please forgive my vocab.!)

I'll just post one more comment before I go to bed lol! :)

Euro Sheep: I saw her MYMU performance aswell! :) In fact in recent years we've had the previous winner at our selection quite often :) We had Sertab in 04, Ruslana in 05, Elena in 06 and Lordi in 07 all at MYMU! (Although I don't think Ruslana performed, I think she just read out the internet votes or something like that!)

Stockholm: Oh yeah i've seen Elena's performance at MF 2006 :) If theres one thing I do know about MF 2006 it is that the stage reminds me alot of the Beijing Olympic stadium, the birds nest. Can you see what I mean?

Euro Sheep: It does sound like the poodles doesn't it :) And that advert sounds . . . . hmm . . . innovative lol! :) I'm really intrigued now! :)

Anyway I better go to bed now, otherwise i'll look like Frankenstein tommorrow! :) Night people! :)

@ Stockholm Calling
I saw that on YouTube but her performance wasn't as good as it was at ESC 2005/06! She lost her dancers and her pole! And she also performed at the UK national selection that same year - quite an honour for us!!!

LOL. Great video.
Btw, Helena performed "My number one" in MF 2006 (Lena Philipsson was the presenter).

@ Jonny K
When I realized that it was similar I tried to find it on YouTube but I couldn't! All I can remember is that at the end of the advert there is a dog with a tampon stuck to it's bum :P lol and that link is scary but at the same time awesome! I know it says "Dreamevil remix" but it sounded a tiny bit like it had been covered by the Poodles :D

Sorry, in my last post I said "So it is very likely that Emily actually got more points". I mean to say "So it is very likely that Emily actually got more votes" :)

Jonny K [46883]
Sat 9 Aug 2008 23:40:44

OK, i'll just post one more comment and then I will go to bed! :)

Euro Sheep: Well remember that we didn't give any points to Marija, so I doubt she would have been much appreciated by the Uk viewers. :S And Dima thinking that we speak "American" LOL!! :)

Jonny K [46883]
Sat 9 Aug 2008 23:40:39

Euro Sheep: LOL, i'm going to be watching all of the tampon adverts to find out which one! :)

Stockholm: Yes it is succcchhhhhh a shame! :) Basically Emily probably got more votes but she didn't win because -
> Each UK region voted by giving 9,10 & 12 points to their top 3 songs.
> The regions with less televoters gave their top points to "Cry baby" and the regions with many more televoters have their top points to "Help Me".
> Unfortunately because there was one more region with less televoters, Jemini just beat Emily by 2 points. So it is very likely that Emily actually got more points.
Although giving Jemini some credit, their Song for europe performance was a million times better than their Riga performance :)

What do you two think of this song - http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=a1bnSgaLB48 - I love it, watch the video and you'll see why! :)

@ Jonny K
Good good :) I'm okay now! That thing about "Yes" by Mini Me being plagiarized from a tampon advert is so true though LOL ^_^ and anything would have been better than Jemini in 2003 when it came to the performance! :P

Jonny
"Help me" is very good. And Emily was beaten by 2 points! What a shame!

Sat 9 Aug 2008 23:26:30

Stockholm: Yeah lol! :) Just out of interest, what do you think of "Help me", by Emily reed? - http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=SY67SUQOb1Y - It came second after Jemini

Tusen tack :) and I dread to think what would have happened if we hadn't sent "Love Shine A Light" although I do really like "Yodel in the canyon of love"

Euro Sheep: Calm down, take deep breaths, think of a peaceful place . . . . thats better, I hope you're back to sanity now after discovering a eurovision portal in HMV lol! :)
Anyway, the whole thing about the 1999 cd was very strange wasn't it. Apparently the EBU didn't have the rights to 3/4 of the songs so they couldn't go on the CD, the UK's song being one of them. And also apparently the songs appeared in the order they finished in, not the running order or ISO order like they do nowadays :)

And I just skimmed through your profile (sorry I couldn't read it in detail but if I did i'd be hear until Tuesday lol!), and the bit about the tampon advert cracked me up so much!! :) :D
