Only Russia is left to decide
EDC: Louisa and Vincent will dance for the UK
Louisa Lytton and Vincent Simone are already known to many in the United Kingdom since they participated at the 2006 edition of Scrictly come dancing, reaching its final stages. In the show, both Louisa and Vincent appeared together with British artists like spice girl Emma Bunton and Mark Ramprakash. Also, Louisa Lytton has starred in The Bill and EastEnders shows.
After the decision of the host country, there is just one country left to choose its representative couple: Russia.
Eurovision Dance Contest 2008 will be held on September 6th at the SECC in Glasgow.
Here is a clip of Louisa and Vincent dancing on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing 2006.

Stockholm
Wow 26C! Thats the same temperature as the swimming pool at our campsite!
I can't tell you the exact temperature of the sea in Dorset where I was staying, but it was alot lower than 26C!!
The temperature here is 38 C....beat that, if you can
Jonny,
Yes, it was one of the islands surrounding Stockholm but far away from the city. Usually the sea is freezing cold but I was lucky this time. It must have been at least 26 degrees C.
Jonny
I was surprised to find the sea that warm. Usually the temperature is 20-22C I think. Too cold for me.
I heard on TV about the problems between Russia and Georgia, it's so sad ..especially when I remember Georgia's song in eurovision.
yeah it's sad. ironic but Georgia's entry wasn't heard by the president of Georgia. Pity!
Stockholm
We actually had similar weather aswell, however it rained mostly at night, so it didn't stop us having a good time!
Sounds like you had a nice weekend, was that one of the islands that surround Stockholm City?
Thanks, Stockholm...I'll still come here though..I'm not leaving without my laptop
Jonny,
Yes, a very bad draw for Sweden. I hope we will get some points at least.
I imagine you had good weather on your holiday. After a long period of dry and hot weather in Sweden it started raining this week. I do have a tan since I spent a weekend in one of the lovely islands in our archipelago
Mina,
Have a nice holiday
Mina
Yes I have seen the problems about Georgia and Russia aswell. I have to admit, I feel so sorry for Georgians in the South Ossetian region and yes, I thought of their song when I saw the news report. It's basically a Russian invasion of Georgia, which is very sad because it was completely un-called for.
On a lighter note though, I hope you have a nice holiday!
I'm sure you'll get better weather than I did
A shame there will be no sea though, I love going to the beach and sea even in the UK where its bloody freezing!
I swam in the sea a few times this holiday . . . . and OMG I think it gets colder every year!
I'm leaving tomorrow actually
..I hope to have a good time..the problem is there's no sea there...oh well, I already have a tan (greek skin and stuff..lol).
Irrelevant but I heard on TV about the problems between Russia and Georgia, it's so sad
..especially when I remember Georgia's song in eurovision.
I just saw the running order..Greece is after Russia once more, like the esc semi. I hope it will bring us luck again
"did you get a tan?"
LOL!! I wish!
My skin doesn't tan, it burns!
Although this year I didn't get any sun burn!
And my arms are alot browner than a week ago, so maybe I did tan a little!
Did you have a nice holiday in Northern Greece?
Jonny, welcome back, we missed you!!!!
...did you get a tan?
Good luck to Louisa and Vincent, they look good in the picture
Stockholm
Oh I see, thanks for the link.
I'm glad to see the UK has a much better place than last time, but I feel sorry for you Swedes because you have to dance first and last year, the Swiss danced first and got nul points!
(I had a very nice holiday thanks!
)
I read on the official EDC site the following sentence:
"Couples from fifteen European countries will have the hard task to compete in the only Europe-wide dancing competition, the 2008 Eurovision Dance Contest!"
http://www.eurovisio(...)tv/page/news?id=1234
I can understand that they want to advertise for their event. But they really shouldn't do that with false pretences. Have no one of the EDC officials ever heard of European and even world championships in profesional dancing? Europe-wide dancing competitions are carried out for decades.
Great!!
Just to say hi to all of you. I have new account.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is luckily going to be a part of EDC next year. I read that in our newspaper. Dejan Kukric, director of bh delegation for Eurovision, told that.
Good luck UK on EDC 2008!
Good luck to Louisa and Vincent
Jonny,
Nice to see you back. I hope you had a nice holiday
It seems that the running order has been announced today.
http://www.eurovisio(...)tv/page/news?id=1234
She is a brilliant dancer, and he is a very good teacher.
A winning team!
Yeah!
I am very pleased with this descision
Louisa dances very nicely (although I am no expert) and I think they make a great couple
I think we should get a few places higher than we did last year, and I really hope we do well this year to make up for last years dissappointment
(Can anybody tell me, has the running order draw taken place yet? Because wikipedia shows the countries in a particular order, and it looks as if the order has been decided but i'm not sure? - http://en.wikipedia.(...)n_Dance_Contest_2008 )
