'A guest in the world'
Listen to Boaz Mauda's new single
The song 'Ore'ach Ba'Olam' (A guest in the world) was composed by Keren Peles. "The song speaks about every human being's happiness. I do feel strongly related to it, because its a happy and optimistic song, just like myself", said Boaz Mauda to Ynet.co.il.
Since achieving the 9th place for Israel in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest's final in Belgarde, Boaz has been quite busy, not only in Israel, but also abroad. "I have been performing around Europe: Belarus, Romania, Netherlands, Montenegro and Serbia. In two weeks time I will be performing also in Canada. Only now, between flights, I realize what the Eurovision Song Contest's participation true meaning is", he said.

omg! this woman arja sainjoma looks awfull, like a 60 year old and used up drag..and that was in 1987..i wonder how she looks like today..for the 1000 time in my life i see and hear a dredfull song coming agian from Sweden. I repeat: i have nothing against this country or its people, actually i imagine it as nice. i do not like at all its music taste when it comes to ESC
israel is one of my fav countries in the esc..the israeli entry of this year was very good, but i think i liked Shiri Maymon and her song back in 2005 even more. Good luck to Israel, i woul luv to evperience a Tel-Aviv ESC soon

thanks for the will to help but the site is not uploading. are you sure you gave me the right address ?
can any of the editors here vanish the DARK from here? :-)
marc,
Arja is Finnish but she lives in Sweden.
She looks like my kind of woman.... really liked he. I must say that medley was really great.... I starts off with some older songs and opens up like a lovely smelling rose.... I absolutely adored it.
And Arja Saijonmaa has many good songs! During Stockholm PRIDE the dragqueens from DIAMOND DOGS made a spectacular Arja-performance. Arja even gave her voice to the group singing great new nasty lyrics....
I was listening to it, and now it's stuck in my head... Is that singer Swedish or Finnish ?
marc x:
Yes, it lost by 1 point!! You can find "Högt över havet" on the DVD MF 50 years Favourites, chapter 35.
Like it
I'm going to learn Iwrit now to understand the lyrics
Thanks a lot Stockholm, so this song lost from Boogaloo ???
I liked the Israeli song this year and there were also other good songs in their NF.

I read your profile and I suggest you visit www.sparcle.nu

The woman with the red scarf is Arja Sajonmaa. She starts by singing "Avundsjuk". (Nanne competed in MF with this song in 1998.) Then she sings "Högt över havet", the runner-up in MF in 1987. I think you referred to this song.

Israel was my favourite in 2008! It was the best vocals of the year, and my mama was in love with him! haha
I cant hear the song!
Silly israeli site.. is there anywhere else to hear it ?
Boaz is just amazing! He really does have the voice of an angel!
In Belgrade, there were four performances that really moved my heart. Portugal because of the strong emotions, the agony and the wonderful voice of Portuguese godess Vania! Iceland because of the strong, life- embracing message and the great vocal strength of Fridrik and Regina. Norway because of the very charming presentation of this simple yet highly expressive and emotional song by Maria.
And, of course, Israel because of Boaz! Wow, it was pure class, his voice even sounds better life... I cannot explain my feelings during his performance. It was so tasteful, romantic, bitter- sweet, lugubrious... wow!!! Really, great singer, background vocals and stage! This Eurovision performance is one of the few that will always be in my heart!
Go on, Boaz, nobody has a voice like you. Please record more wonderful songs and come back to ESC in the next years!
Lovely singer.....
@Stockholm calling,
Question my friend, this weekend was watching with best friend from Ireland that DVD 50 year Melodifestivalen. There is a medley on there with Lena, Carola, etc.... but there is also a tall woman, dressed in black with red scarf. She was singing an amasing song in Swedish (must be a seventies song), who is she and what song was she singing ? Thanks my friend.
My favorite this year too.
@ Dark magix
well.....i guess you are the one who still dream about it. becose you saw it for real but didnt get it....what a pitty.... ha?........
sometimes i say "god did you realy created stupid people in this world or it's the joke of the day"?.....
about Boaz song
AMAZING SONG
i sing it all day long.
@Dark Magix
We gay people mainly dream of just having to spread our legs to get everything that we want like most women do. (Women do not reach so much because they are so intelligent but because straight men are so stupid.)
My favourite entry this year. I can't understand why Spain did not give any single point to Israel in the final when we gave 4 in the semi and when Spain is a country that traditionally votes to Israel.
Boaz was for me the biggest surpise of the ESC 2008!!! Bravo!
