But the winner was decided by the televoters that gave 12 points to the winning couple. Here is the full scoreboard (Jury/Televote):

Yes! Skye is near the island we used to go to, Tiree.
We used to holiday there every single year and the one thing I remember about it is that is was FREEZING!!
Here are some pictures of where we used to stay!
The beach (we couldn't go swimming because it was too cold!) - http://www.tireecott(...)balephuilhsesnew.jpg

Anyway, I won't be on esctoday for a week after tonight, because i'm going on holiday!
But not to Scotland, to Dorset
Jonny,
I found Tiree on the map. The pictures remind me of Skye
I hope you will have a nice holiday but you will be missed here on esctoday.
Mina
I would take my laptop but I am camping, with no electricity, so it would be kinda hard lol!
I hope you have a nice holiday, just out of interest, where are you going?

I'm going on holiday next week, too but I'm taking my laptop with me
Have a great holiday, Jonny, we'll miss you!
Jonny,
ha-ha. I've been to the Isle of Skye. Isn't that the Inner Hebrides?
My grandma used to live in Glasgow. She used to live in a corner flat and I remember a few things about it. I remember that the living room was a triangular shape, and she always kept everything immaculate. Then after that she moved on to an island in the Inner Hebrides, and she moved into a house that was painted like a cow, with black spots all over it. Except everytime it was re-painted the spots would get smaller and smaller so I doubt theres any left nowadays!
I have lots of happy memories of Glasgow
Avatar Lordi:
I do hope this will not be the last Eurovision contest organized by The UK.
This year the EDC is going to be amazing
Glasgow is a nice city, I've been there. I used to dance Scottish country dances but I know nothing about Ballroom dancing.
Shame on you, Greece and Azerbaijan
hopefully they'll do good
such a shame i can't go to glasgow
I didn't get to watch EDC last year 'cos I went away. I'm not quite sure wether or not I'll enjoy it , it's not quite the same as Eurovision. To me dancing is dancing I can't really tell which is the best! I'll watch it anyway, hopefully it'll be good.
Yup Mina!
I still get nightmares about that Slovenian performance . . . . . . the neon cage . . . . . the chains . . . . the dancers who looked like they belonged in some kind of asylum . . . and the angry "i wan't to murder someone" look on Rebekas' face
I won't get any sleep tonight!
"They look fine but what do I know...lol"
Same here!!
I couldn't judge dancing to save my life!
Anyway, they have to better than last years Lithaunian couple, they wore bright green face paint all over their faces throughout the entire show, and they looked like clowns . . . . . bizarre!!
they wore bright green face paint all over their faces throughout the entire show
Something like Slovenia this year then..LOL
On a negative note this could be the last Eurovision Contest we ever hold.
but everybody is welcome to come here and enjoy the United Kingdom and also a wonderful city like Glasgow.
Hopefully we will put on a stunning show this year puting Eurovision at its best.
Good luck Lithuania and welcome to UK!
OOOO.... They look very good!
Possible winners here?!? I think so
They look fine but what do I know...lol
And I agree with Jonny...rules are rules.
Great!
There has already been controversy though this year at EDC. The rules state that for 2008, one of the dancers must be non-professional, however Greece & Azerbaijan have already selected professional couples. However the EBU hasn't commented yet, and if they let the Greek & Azeri couples go to Glasgow it will be unfair on all the other countries who have obeyed the rules and selected at least one non-professional dancer.
Anyway, I can't wait for a proper eurovision event to be hosted in the UK again! Last year although it was hosted in the UK, the BBC had to rush the production because there wasn't much time to prepare, so it was all a bit hasty. But they've had all year this time, so its gonna be amazing (I hope!)
Im so happy that they won ... They was the best ...
