Vincent:
I think that any version of Dinge Dong would have won. I liked listening to the Dutch lyrics. My favourite song in 1975 is The UK entry "Let me be the one" with The Shadows
I like Tamta (well, I liked her before the new, blonde hair!), I think she's modern and she has a good voice, but she would need a very strong song because there are so many pretty girls with nice voices around.
The thing with Eurovision is that you can't know your opponents. For example, who knows if we had sent Sakis this year, if Dima would have won...he wouldn't stand out as much as he did this year, surrounded by women (the favourites I mean).
If next year there are many pretty girls like this year, Tamta would get lost.
Mina,
yes it is sad the thing about Kalomoira.but everybody should live according to one's wishes and not according to the expectations and wishes of the others..
I think it will take Martakis a long time to decide if he goes for Cyprus in the next ESC. On the one hand, i hope he does, because i think he will score well and get Cyprus to the final, on the other hand i am afraid that some points are going to be shared among him and Sakis..i do not know..let's see what happens..i cann not wait till Moscow 2009. Tamta is for me nice, ok, but not very good to get an entry to the top5
Vincent,
you're planning 2010 already..LOL..you're worse than me
Personally I'd like C Real.
Mina,
for the greek entry of ESC 2010(hopefully held in Athens) i suggest: either Stavento( a rap group) featuring Tamta or the singer of C real, or a good, very good rockish song sung entirely in greek, or a very strong and very greek ballad. Or Martakis with a very eurovision-isch song, so that Greece will win again for second time in a row. Here is a post from a live tv appearance f the group Stavento featuring Helena Paparizou:

abou the turkish aong..it des nt remind me of any greek song at all, it reminds me somehow of some greek b movies of the 70's with unknown and really bad actors. Actually i liked the very first turkish entry of the ESC 1975. It was a dramatic melody, convincingly sung. But it was the time, when the ESC juries were seeking for happy, care- free songs..whatever..any news(even if they came from the gossip press) about Martakis?
No, nothing new about Martakis...I will write whatever I learn as soon as I learn it
About Kalomoira, yep, I guess her life is going to a different direction right now...it's a shame, I expected a lot from her after Eurovision..we all did.
Mina!
about Kalomira...LOL!! this is not good news at all. because this means she wil probably opt for a houswife life, next to her sweet hart(ton kalo tis)..and i do not think her "sweet heart" and her mother will let her do any international career, not even a greek one..that was it..no more Kalomoira on stage..:-(
Vincent,
about the turkish song, it reminds me of an old greek song..I think they would have done better with that.
About Dinge Dong, it would still have won in those versions..it has a catchy tune.
PS Kalomoira got engaged. We're accepting congratulations
(Presents should be sent to NY).
Vincent,
about the Turkish song...it reminds me very much of an old greek song..which one I'm not sure. I think they would have done better with this.
About Dinge Dong (I also find the tune very catchy but wouldn't say I like it)..it would still have won if it was in those versions...it's same song, same music..lol
PS Our Kalomoira got engaged. We're accepting congratulations
(presents should be sent to NY).
I'm trying to post and it gets disappeared

Ok..3rd time. Dinge Dong would have won in any version..it is a catchy tune.
The Turkish would have done better with that song.
And.......Kalomoira got engaged..presents should be sent to NY.
Great...now it appeared 3 times..LOLLLLLLLL..sorry, not my fault!!!
Mina,
i lie your fighting spirit..:-) Yes goooo Sakis, go-go-go....to the top :-)
S A K I S
and the 2nd thing i found out is that in ESC 1975 we might have had another version of the winning song "Dinga Dong" (a song which i actually like, i admit :-)
http://www.youtube.c(...)&feature=related --->version 1
http://www.youtube.c(...)&feature=related ---> version 2
what do you think? wuld the song still have won in these versions of the 1975 dutch final? i actually like the idea of such a NF: first have one song, one entry chosen, and then vote among the various interpretations of candidates-singers..hmm i like it :-)
burr doesn't want to talk to me..i am depressed now..:-)
guys i have told you, that i can not wait until ESC 2009..so in these days i have been watching like crazy older esc recaps and the votings of some past eurovisions. while doing this i stumbled n two things, i would like to share it with you:
first, ESC 1975, Turkey debutes with a highly dramatic song sung by a proper young lady, which unfortunately came last with 3 pt. But, in the national preselection she and her girlmates had tried to get the ticket with another song. please watch:

Vincent:
No, it's not Carola's mother. It's a journalist from the second biggest daily paper in Sweden
One of the guys is an actor and the other people are working on Swedish TV.
GO SAKIS!!!!!
GO GREECE
Burr,
it is true Greece has very well supported and liked Dima Bilan...i think he got 10 pt from Greece in 2006 and surely 8 pt now..you will support also Sais, will ya? And another question: Does the name Martakis ring a bell to you or to anyone of your friends?
Vincent,
Carola falling off her chair looks too funny..........LOL
Btw we always give good points to Russia...in 2006 we gave them 8 pts, last year also 8 pts and 7 pts this year (which would be higher if Albania hadn't gotten in there
)
Kala oti ton yposthrikse h Ellada einai allo 8ema alla ti na leme twra, koitame na paroume kamia psifo
Mina and the others :-)
here is the link of Carola falling once more(i hope it works this time):

please thake a look at her girkfriend in the table, i think she makes me laugh more than Carola..who is this woman, anyway..her mother maybe :-)) This was right after Cyprus had finished the voting and had given its 12pt to Greece, pure coincidence of course.
Here's another video of Sakis..it's a bit different than his usual style
http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=_fkKh4jdTGU
Greek dictionaries do differ fron the Russian ones )))
Goofy isn't greek..it's an english (or american, not sure) expression
Vincent:
I'm getting very excited too
One of the contestants in 2009 has already been selected. Wow!
That clip from 1992 is funny. (You had posted it in another article as well) The Swedish commentators laughed out loud. Carola was there to present the trophy.
You call Dima a goofy and expect a voice for Sakis
I think you didn't understand what goofy means..lol
It was meant as 'funny, the type who likes joking around''..besides everyone knows I like Dima and I love 'Believe', it's no secret
BURR
give us a few votes for Sakis, will you?
We love Dima in Greece (I'm collecting votes, already...LOLLLL)
Go Sakis
This is the best choice for Greece!
Just THE BEST!!!!
