Ok people, when will you stop moaning?
It's up to the EBU to do something about this 'issue' of political/block voting.
And what a ridiculous idea was that to kick out the E. European countries out of Eurovision? Please, get some life.
Besides, isn't it better that Russian won than France or Spain?
Next time vote and then you can complain. =

The UK will be up there if the right song and artist is sent to the competition. People listen to UK music across the globe. But not the songs sent to represent the country in the Eurovision. It's not just Eastern Europe that did not vote for the UK. NOONE DID! East, West, North and South! I mean is Scoots the best this country can do? And can people be p.ssed off cause they came last!?!?!? BBC has to take responsibility and Terry Wogan time to retire since he is already a millionaire due to the Eurovisionith. Critising all and everything apart from himself is the easy option. He choose Andy's song himself. Looing forward to an excellent UK entry next year. The whole of Europe has been waiting for years!

there's always problem with esc .
in the ninetees we were sick and tired of endless irish victories with borring songs and now we are tired with the east .

Big 4 should pull out - set up a contest of their own and invite all the pre:1993 participants to enter - and leave the East to run and ruin their own contest.

Once again it just a variety show now so dont get hooked up on who wins. It simply a show to case European Music...who really cares who wins. I think its cool to see all these dfferent songs. If I had voted it would have been for Ukraine, Serbia or Iceland. I did enjoy Bos & Herz. Very different. So for the most part my choices were for the former eastern bloc. Their music is just more interesting than the wsetern bloc.
Tony. USA (UK ex pat)..

PS the webcast was excellent quality all the way verhere in Denver, Colorado.USA

This year's Eurovision was a big joke.
Russia won pretty much undeserved, but that's what you get when you're surrounded by EX-soviet states who love you.

Anyway, Dima Bilan should just crawl back into Putin's ass where he got pooped out.

Why not to build another Berlin wall. To get rid from all the eastern people who get the job of the locals.

GOD...

Best wishes to all

50% jury, 50% televote

We've said it from the start and it's heaviest than ever.
Taken into account that San Marino voted fairly on Saturday was because they used an independant jury and didnt vote for Spain's elvis lookalike and bosnia's laundrette service.
In the end, that would be the way forward, but Svante is too caught up in the moment of how much money the EBU is getting because of all the phone calls and text messages.

@ Ben Gray

Yes, we should include the traditional, old participants too: Iceland, Norway, Turkey, Israel.

@ Be True

If you only want EU members to participate in Eurovision, then kiss goodbye to Norway and Iceland, because it's not just Turkey and eastwards that aren't part of it right now.

ONLY THE COUNTRIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION SHOULD PARTICIPATE. END OF STORY...

(and for all of you that fight over east-west-north-east, europe has always been divided in West and East NOT by geographical terms BUT by political, historical and cultural terms. For example, Greece is east in geography, but has always been -since the beginning of history- west. It was THE beginning of west. More west than Poland, Check Republic and others (which are central in the map but have always been east in all other terms). I am not Greek, but we can't say whatever we want just because of eurovision! Some of you -especially the ones that want to be in the EU and are not- go open some books !!!

EUROVISION ONLY FOR EU MEMBERS !!!

I'm watching it on the BBC iPlayer, but I'm not sure if that's availible outside the UK.

It's quite entertaining watching some of the Eastern voting - it's so predictable! Quite sad really.

I'm not sure is it smart to watch that show again, it was enough once for me.

Eastern europe should watch it 1000 times, maybe some of them are hear some good western song - keep listening those songs, they are not bad if they are not in top 5!
