Ukraine and Sweden battle for top
Big Poll 2008 : Semi 2 results!
As if mirroring the bookmaker's predictions, Ukraine and Sweden battle it out for supremacy at the top of the table. However, for the fans it is Sweden at the top of the pile, just pipping Ani Lorak's Shady Lady. Already, big poll trends were bucked in Tuesday's semi-final, with the fan favourite making it to the final for the first time ever. This will give heart to Sweden's Charlotte, occupying the same, once-jinxed position.
Interestingly, if only fans from countries voting tonight are counted, then Belarus grabs the precarious tenth spot. However, if the votes of all fans are included, then Denmark leap-frogs up a place, knocking Belarus down to swipe away the last safe place. Just a single point separates them in both scenarios.

Some surpises but glad songs like the Albanian have gone through. We'll miss Cyprus. Ukrain will just blast every one off stage. It is done.

WOW! Just watched Ukrain etc. Ukrain will just win easily. Not that I'll vote for it. It's unbeatable. Just the perfect show. Swiss song one. What a ridiculous song. They will not even qualify! Albania is fantastic as well.

please this is a cry for help..... its my house mate he is turning into a Charlotte freak... he is a bully. He beats me up while singing Hero. I feel worthless and weak and I dreading it if Sweden dont get through to finals as he has a gun and has threatened to go on the rampage... please vote for Sweden to save my life and countless other innocents.... ohno he back i have to go ..... help

i dont beleve that pools in internet because they can vote everybody from all the countreys of the world! for me only 5 countreys from that poll are sure for the final : sweden,ukraine,turkey,bulgaria and portugal (maybe and iceland) , idont thing that belarus , georgia and albania they can past easy to the final , for me wild cart tonignt is Lithuania,croatia , latvia and hungary. anyway good luck to alla the countreys and especially to my countrey CYPRUS !! Even though I'm Swedish myself, I don't understand what people see in our song. It's about as exciting as a meal at McDonald's - pre-produced, mass fabricated, made to suit every taste at the expense of any individuality. It's not one of the worst songs, far from it, but definitely one of the most boring.

My hopes are high for Switserland, Albania, Hungary and Georgia. Perhaps Iceland, but it totally depends on the stage performance.
Saturday I either hope Israel or Portugal to win!!!!
Portugal, Switzerland and Albania will not qualif (unfortunately), I think!
And I doubt if Iceland and Sweden will qualify! Sweden might get the wilcard though if we don't get enough votes!

Sweden will probably get through but it won't qualify first, I think Ukraine will probably do that. I don't like Georgia or Belarus at all. FYR Macedonia will get through - they always do but if they don't I will be delighted cos it is the worst song this year and it will restore the faith I lost when Ireland was put out

Switzerland may be the shock elimination tonight cos of diaspora voting, although if Portugal get enough votes around Europe, the Swiss will get the jury.

I love the Swedish song (no surprise, I'm Swedish), but it feels like this is not the time to being cocky and declare Sweden the winner only a couple of hours away (the real zingo star/the real Hero) ... The nerve of you people ... I myself are very nervous right now ... Anything can happen, like we have seen in the past ...
I will vote for Albania.
