Star channel announce 'results'
The publication of what it claims to be the results of last night's show seems nothing more than sensationalism to attract interest in Greece. Publishing that Greece won the semi final and the positions puts the competition in danger of tactical voting, and could backfire against their own entry as people may vote tactically to prevent Greece winning and enhancing the chances of their own country.
esctoday.com urges readers not to believe the results and wait for the official announcent from the EBU after Saturday's final. The results of the semi final are kept secret to prevent tactical voting and ensure the competition remains fair. Star Channel reports the top five from last night's semi final:
- Greece 132
- Russia 122
- Romania 120
- Armenia 111
- Bosnia and Herzegovia 93

Star Channel this evening back-tracked on their claims that Greece won the Eurovision Song Contest semi final last night. They now claim that the news was passed to them by Greek fans from rumours circulating in the press centre in Belgrade and that they have been told by three different delegations that each had won the semi final.

I'd laugh if these turned out to the the right results! 
well whether or not those results are real, Kalomira will give 100% on stage again in the final. (hope the director will do a better job this time , we were watching the empty stadium more than kalomoira in the semifinal

as my 18th on tuesday, i hope it's really not true, the worst one can't win, it never ever happens, even when i dislike a winner, it's a decent song.. i see more Armenia leading the semifinal..
armenia's song was better, than the netherlands's, but hind sang way better than sirusho sang hers

I agree with those who say that Sirusho didn't sing well. I bet she knows that too 
But her song is so cool and she has lots of fans around Europe and it helped. I just hope she'll have some rest before the final and will give an excellent performance! Go honey, we love you!
Star channel isnt a reliable channel and we should not take it seriously. It represents what we can call TRASH TV. So lets ignore it.
Big joke of course. Can I just say that I simply don't like the Greek song at all, it's one of the most monotonous songs this year and the singer doesn't have a leasant sound in her voice. However,I do think it was a pleasure to watch the performance, she did really well. Still, I hope better songs will get more votes on Saturday.

Star Channel is very stupid, they always put stupid things in their news report to attract people's interest, so more poeple watch the channel, don't believe what they say.....
Yes "whatever" honey, I don't need to catch any flies thanks. Yes I was out of line with my comment on Greece "going under"... I guess it was my frustration talking. I apologise. But all countries should learn a thing or two from Iceland. Great song and a simple & effective presentation free of hype. No ass shaking, no rolling on the floor for votes. And FYI: my country is closer to Iceland than to Greece. On Saturday I'm voting for countries that emphasize the song rather than beg desperately for votes since their song is crap. Hope most of Europe does the same.
Israel had the best performance.
Norway has the classiest and most contemporary entry.
Russia's song is pretty good but Dima sucks live and it doesn't deserve to win.
Greece is too hyped, good, but not one of the best (overall-not just this semi countes).
Poland deserved to qualify
Azerbaijan and Bosnia can thank diaspora. I can somehow understand Bosnia but Azerbaijan was even more awful live than the already awful studio version. Gimmick + dispora = place in final.
Finland? Awful song, almost no voting friends... biggest shock!

This STAR Channel always says bull**** Last year they said that Latvia had won the semi and Cyprus was 11th. I don't think anyone take those news seriously.

Poland, Israel or Norway should have won the Semi if is music what is took into account in this contest. Anyway I'm affraid one of this song is the one picked up by juries... life is sad.
By the way, I would prefer Greece or Armenia for winning this year before than Russia (Dima's live performances doesn't convince me at all).

My annoyance is not only with Greece, trust me. Russia & Armenia were just as crappy as Greece. But I don't see as many Russians or Armenians talking up their songs on all these Eurovision websites. Tired of reading how great Greece's song is all over the web. Just tone down your hype so we can read the real news for a change. And next time (if ever) get a presenter who is Greek. That bitch who presented for Greece in 2006 was soooo American I barfed hamburgers and hotdogs all night.

Star Channel is a pure gossip-lifestyle channel, not even we greeks take it seriously. Sometimes they get it right, many times they get it wrong, it is a sensasionalist Tv channel that has as target market those who seek for light entertainment on celebrities, gossip, Vips-chasing, and also their love for Eurovision, etc, it does not claim to be a serious channel. So I would never take seriously their gossip and so-called facts.

And Dima is an asshole. But of course, having so many friendly neighbours nobody needs a good song. He will get as many 12's needed to do well -even win- served in a silver plate. That's why it really pisses me off!
