Alterations to dress probable

Belgium: Singer makes a boobie

Soetkin, the lead singer from Belgian band Ishtar, had a slight moment of embarrassment as her dress slipped during the second rehearsal, and no-one told her. Gasps grew in the press conference as the dress slipped first from one side, and then the other. It follows in the fine tradition of artists such as Javine and Alsou.

Soutekin's modesty was preserved by her undergarments, but the dress slipped slightly during the first run through of the song, it was clearly noticable to the amusement of those watching on screen from the press conference. After no-one told her and it slipped again during the second run through to reveal her undergarments. Finally, she realised and and hitched it up, looking a touch embarrassed as everyone in the press conference was shouting at the screens to tell her!

She took the moment in good humour and continued like a true professional. In 2005, Javine beat former page three model, Katie Price to win the British ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest at the national final. After accusing the eventual runner up of using her proportions to her advantage, Javine's top slipped in the reprise of her song to reveal a little too much cleavage. Alsou, who represented Russia in 2000 and took second place wearing a sliver fronted top tied only by string at the back, revealed a little more than she expected when jumping to celebrate a 12 points during the voting.

I really hope that Ishtar will join the Eastern Europe phalanx (Armenia, Russia, Greece, Ukraine) to pass to the finals...

I'm really looking forward to the shows and to be there, I will support Belgium in Belgrade...

MOR VE ÖTESİ-(CRAZY) TURKEY
Sounght, the owner of my soul
Did I fall fight into the spot?
Resisting the subject of my passion
Angered and shrunken
Sounght, the owner of my soul
Did I fall right into the spot?
Resisting, resisting, resisting...
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Where is the love
You’re so proud of
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Don’t waste my time
With fake dreams
Sougt, theowner of my soul
Did I fall right into the spot?
Resisting, the subject of my passion
Angered and shrunken
Soungt, the owner of my soul
Did I fall right into the spot?
Resisting, resisting, resisting...
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Where is the love
You’re so proud of
Raise me
Don’t deceive me
With fak dereams Half sane, half crazy I am
Sane all around me, crazy, one side of me
Everbady else sane, crazy, only me
Crazy, only me...
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Where is the love
You’re so proud of
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Don’t waste my time
With fake dreams

Too bad they will change the dress now-a nude chock is the only thing that could bring this song some votes.

Finally something interesting is happening to this otherwise BORING song.. To bad that on the transmission the dress will be glued to her chest.

I'm sorry but where in this article does it say abou Dima?

This is a place to talk about wardrobe malfunctions, not Russian conspirace theories.

hahahah, isn't this Javines job!!!???

The thing is about the Belgian song, is that it will probably either do really well, or really badly . . . . i'm hoping it will do really well, as Sanomi did, although I never really saw the attraction with Sanomi?

Not at all, marc x. The dress is funny and suits the song. Dex's was just awful.

Ishtar adopted a crocodile in the Serbian zoo. They call him "Julissi" So cute :))

Timbaland wrote this song years ago, never planned to record this, and listening to this, Bilan should never either. And if Night editor is correct, please let it be Portugal this year to win. Love that woman and her song even more. Boycot Russia.

Now about the Belgian striptease, poor girl, well at least Belgium will be assured of 1 award, the Barbara Dex one... will go back to it's homeland.... Do you guys think, Belgium has a chance to qualify. Like the song.

It just occurred to me we're talking about Russia's hissy fit on a thread about the Belgian singer's boob lol

Cheers w s

What's going to be interesting too is that if Russia get to the final, which they almost certainly will, this hassle will probably occur all over again.

I've never been overly impressed by the Russian entry and it just feels like all these distractions are in place to cover their weaker song. Timbaland must have just been painting by numbers when it came to Dima's song!

Does anyone know when are the breaks in the second semi final?

The russian song is nothing special I might say and to be honest I expected something better from Dima. About the performance... its too much!!

I think Dima is getting a bit big for his boots..he cries out his own name when making love I believe.
Things really need to be fair for all not benefitting primadonna`s.

@ Edin

Exactly what I saying earlier. If the EBU except this for this year. You can imagine what everybody is going to do next year, especially if Russia win. Both out of revenge(because it would be in Moscow) and everybody wants to try their best

So will they give every nation 30 seconds? And yet since 2006 they have ruined the fun of the voting by only allowing the 8, 10, and 12 points to be annouced- to save time!

Night Editor [45546]
Thu 15 May 2008 16:24:02

Now come on guys, everyone knows that the EBU is aiming to make the contest as politically-correct as possible giving everyone the chance to win. So it's Russia's turn this year, Malta next, then Portugal, then Lithuania.... and so on By my estimates it should get round to the UK again in 2041. Glasgow 2042 that's what I say! LOL

@ It´s Terry: " Why not switching slots with another country?"
No, it´s not possible to switch slots. What on Earth you´re talking about? So, tomorrow anyone would just go for place swap if they wished so?

Edin (original) [45842]
Thu 15 May 2008 16:14:18

In my opinion everyone is allowed to have the performance that he or she would like to have but everyone should have EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES, in this case equal time to prepare the stage for performance.

If EBU will let this, what else we can expect???

Terry C [18616]
Thu 15 May 2008 16:12:30

I agree... it's completely pointless. Why not switching slots with another country? Is it such a big deal if they did so?

marc, elvis, & ws: i agree with you all... sad to see the total degeneration of this contest.. i mean yeah sure no1 has taken it seriously for ages, but this russia bullsh*t is a bit too much..
god please dont let that crap russian song win, i dont wanna have my ears start bleeding.

Edin (original) [45842]

There were rumours that Russians simply can't prepare the stage for just 30 seconds during the show and it will be probably solved like this:
There will be break before their performance or the hosts will be talking to the contestants in the green-room to provide enough time for Russians to prepare the stage.

The fans don't react.

w s [29210]
Thu 15 May 2008 16:03:20

Due to their stage demands the break is changed, and is now after Russia and before Greece. Besides the Russians can't use the ladder. And now Dima is angry. :-)

marc x [47152]
Thu 15 May 2008 16:03:20

RUSSIA out, and not to come back ever..... Can you imagine poor Greece, now they have a commercial break in front of them... probably everyone will think Russia was the last entry and go to the toilet and Greece will be forgotten... Dreadfull dreadfull dreadfull.... This is moving towards a great big joke....

DannyT [43795]
Thu 15 May 2008 16:00:36

What is actually going on with Russia. Is it about their stage demands?

w s [29210]
Thu 15 May 2008 15:53:32

Yes it is time other countries make a protest. What is going on right now in Belgrade is digusting. It is time EBU disqualifies Russia.

marc x [47152]
Thu 15 May 2008 15:47:02

Yep Elvis, why still rehears, why keeping up this comedy, we all know Russia will win..... So unfair. Boycot Russia.... Arrogant piece of s....

Belgium has already won the Worst Dressed prize. Good, cause as I´ve noticed, Russia has already won the contest (thanks for EBU, that is).
