she really is fantastic, with a very power song....unfortunally Portugal don´t have neighbours to help like Servia, Greece, Ukraine, Russia and many others have, and unfortunally this is a very important key in this contest.
I which a very good lucky to Vania his music and his voice are so power and high quality, defenitly they deserve to win.

When you have a great song and a great voice anything else (such as fancy sound/light effects, frantic coreographies, delirious outfit changes or insane props) is nothing but "noise" that distracts from what is really important in a song contest. Vânia has none of those but she has it all...
Once again, Vania shows why she is a great singer! You are one of the queens this year! I hope Portugal pass to the final. And then it happens, catch a great place!

Wow, not one bitchy comment to be found on this thread. Must be a first time in the history of esctoday. It seems as if Vânia has conquered everyone with her natural charm.
Good luck, Portugal. I can't vote for you in the semi, but I asked a friend to do so from London.
That's what I thought would happen Ireland's song, waiting until after the contest and then being released but then it charted at number 5 recently here.
But anyway good luck to Portugal - it would be nice to see ESC come west again and you don't get much further west on continental Europe than Portugal!

I'm not sure but i think the song it's not been charted yet.
Vânia didn't work in any project besides "Senhora do Mar" after she won "Operação Triunfo"... so maybe this song will be charted only after Vânia concludes Eurovision and starts her new album, but i really ain't sure about this

I was just interested to know if the song has charted in Portugal yet or has it not been released? Just because I know it had won with such a large percentage of the national final vote

I also don't agree that any country should win just because it's in Eurovision for a long time, but if allied to that is a song like "Senhora do Mar", then the chances increase a lot!
I've said before, despite this being the best song from Portugal since a long time i still don't believe it's a winner for the rest of Europe, but for sure it will qualify to the final, and once there it might get a great result...who knows?
But for me it's already the Winner, it's the best this year, in my opinion of course

I don't think that Portugal being in the competition for such a long time is a reason that they deserve to win this year. I actually really Vania in her interviews but I still ain't crazy about the song. It reminds me of Croatia 2005, not musically, but of a song that was popular but I just couldn't see why.

And I listened to the instrumental version, it's wonderful.
When I was listening the song to my mp3 player, I was thinking why everyone make so much fuss about it? However, I just watched her yesterday's rehearsal! The ONLY rehearsal that took my breath away since now! I mean, Ukraine was amazing, Greece was dynamic and Russia was great too..But Portugal got me to get the breeze of the winner, and I almost cried in the end! Bravo from Cyprus!!!

When she is singing, the world stands still, she really knows how to conquer people with her magnificent voice!
To me, Vania already is the winner, no matter what comes or where she ends up, nobody in this year's competition is better than her!
If it wasn't for the big romanian community, I'm sure Portugal would get 12 points from Spain, in case they reach the finals. I feel that Portugal is quite alone in the second semifinal (if not in the whole history of eurovision) and their only neighbour votes in the first semifinal. However, I expect to see them in the final, they deserve it more than ever. MUITA SORTE PORTUGAL!
