Dustin, Gisela and Laka
Day 2: Press Conferences
Ireland
"This is a very serious act and we are here to win!" – said the Irish head of delegation at the first press conference for today. This song is about change, we want Ireland to change – said Dustin when answering the questions regarding his running for the Irish parliament (just before breaking wind).
Dustin also made a few comments regarding this year’s participants. He used to collect rubbish and now he sings it – was Dustin’s comment about Andy Abraham of The UK. She is lovely but tell her to put on some clothes – said Dustin about Isis Ge who had rehearsed just before him.

Laka and his team received the warmest welcome we’ve seen at the Press Center so far.
"I will not answer any question regarding the chicken" - was the first think Laka said. He also mentioned that since it couldn’t come, as the regulations didn’t allow animals on the stage, the chicken was – put in soup. "We didn’t came from monkeys we came from love" said Laka .
Laka and his team received the warmest welcome we’ve seen at the Press Center so far.

vote for laka!!!!!!
he is the best!!
There were many other press conferences yesterday besides these 3 - where are the reports of all the rest?!
It seems they were just ignored, for some reason...
"Ireland deserves a big booooh this year like Silvia Night. I will contribute"
And they wonder why Eastern Europeans have no sense of humour??
At least the puppet can run a press conference. Unlike Gisela, who sings in English perfectly, but doesn't want to speak it in the press conferences.
is there anyone who knows where i can find the press conference of greece plz?????????
Careful, Dustin - don't overdo the 'I'm hilariously insulting and can say what the f**k I like' routine. Just remember another performer who should have gone through to the Final but whose behaviour proved too much for many sensitive stomachs - Silvia Night. Missing out on a rightful place in the Final due to too many scathing jibes would not be a happy outcome. Steady, now...
@Fabia Deluca
Whats it like to have such a dry sense of humour? Do you ever laugh with such a condition?
Gisela has not been 100%. She will give us a surprise. Go Andorra
Russian was a cheap cirkus, a desperate attemp to save a boring song. As I said before, the song is as flat as the Russian steppes!
Dustin bores me. Always the same class-B jokes...
From what i have seen today, Russia and Greece were the best.
But 100% qualifiers among the today's rehearsals will be Russia, Greece, Armenia, Bosnia.
When his comment about Andy Abraham is written down it makes for awful reading but fortunately we Brits can see the humour and I'm sure Andy will laugh along too. But it'll be interesting to hear what Sir Terry has to say about his mention in the lyrics on the night!
@ Candyman ESC
Wow you are going to boo a puppet. How big of you
Ireland cannot vote for Latvia or Lithuania since they take part in the second semifinal. Also Lithuania will not qualify so stop dreaming.
Estonia might get their 12p.
Ireland deserves a big booooh this year like Silvia Night. I will contribute.
when is 2th rehearsal (semi final 1)....somebody knows??
@ Andreas
Ireland are in a separate semi final to Lithuania and although I like their song I don't see it qualifying I think yours might. So if Ireland is voting for anyone in the final I see it being for Latvia or Poland
- Andreas Bager
I agree!!! Vote Latvia!!!! Good luck this year
Ireland will give its 12 to Lithuania like they did the last couple of years because of all the lovely Liethuanians living there
Come on Irish Latvians vote for Latvia don't let Lietuva get 12 again
His song is quality!!! Just in a different way to everybody elses!!! You have to admit though, that the lyrics to his song are just GENIUS!!!
I don't see why not? What he does makes all the effort of other people who try to write and sing real, good quality songs - completely worthless!
Ok I hate the Irish song but: " He used to collect rubbish and now he sings it – was Dustin’s comment about Andy Abraham of The UK. She is lovely but tell her to put on some clothes – said Dustin about Isis Ge who had rehearsed just before him " - This is classic!
Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! He is a legend!!!! DON'T BOO DUSTIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes he is sooo hilarious - and we will sooo boo him on the night!
LOL, Dustin is just full of witty comments!!! I just burst out laughing when he started talking about Isis and Dana, hilarious!!! The thing that makes him so great is that he looks so innocent aswell, he is so cute until he opens his mouth!!!
The man behind Dustin is a genius!!! Good luck to Ireland from the UK!
And the award for best interview goes to ... Dustin!
Bloody excellent!!
Dustin is so witty!!!! He is so hilarious!!!!!
