LTV to broadcast both semis
Latvia: Wolves of the Sea release first CD
LTV will be broadcasting EBU special shows "Eurovision Countdown" on May 19th and 20th, followed by both semi finals.The representatives of the other countries participating in Eurovison Song Contest 2008 have had a great chance and opportunity to promote their songs as they were broadcast during the morning show "Labrit, Latvija (Good morning Latvia!) as well as in the breaks between the other programs.
What concerns the international broadcasting, LTV will have the live news from Belgrade informing the Latvian audience about the Pirates of the Sea life and adventures in Serbia. During the shows the greetings from the other participants will be broadcast as well as the interviews with them.
There's a treasure in sight – Pirates of the Sea release their first CD
May 12th is going to be historical for Pirates of the Sea as it is the day when their first CD is released.
By the presentation of the CD at the musical club "Cau, Rasma (Ciao Rasma), Pirates would reach a symbolic finish line for what regards the preparation for Belgrade. Due to the production of the single for the promotional purposes only, it is going to become a real value among the fans. Only the most active fans during the press conferences have the opportunity to possess the treasure! To be ready for the treasure hunt, the first hint is given - Pirates of the Sea are listed as the first to have the rehearsal on May 14, thus the press conference in Sava center will start soon after the rehearsal at 11:05.
Pirates of the Sea are preparing the show taking advantage of the best props they can get! In the last months they have obtained new stage outfits and props. The ship from Latvia to Serbia will arrive loaded with impressive and authentic ship steering wheel, flags, as well as adapted antique weapons and swords. Actually, Pirates are even thinking about negotiating with Serbia National Opera regarding the rent of a cannon.
The only thing bothering the delegation's mind is whether the prompts and the technical equipment will arrive safely to the venue and whether Serbia TV will give the green light to use them during the performance.
You can visit the Pirates' official website here.

mm..why U shouldn t like?just beacause a bunch of people told they don t??I say that I really like it and it will be a big surprise in the ESC this year!!great costumes and impressive performance!GO PIRATES!!Italy with U!
@ Fabio Deluca:
Hmm.. yes you're right.
Paolo Meneguzzi should record a duet with me.
That'll gain him some popularity in Asia as well.
i know i shouldnt , but i actually like this song. its silly , yes ,but at the same time its kinda fun
LAST YEAR, I WAS VOTE TO LATVIA( BONAPARTI WAS EXCELLENT)BUT THIS YEAR I DONT THINK, SORRY MY FAVOURITE CONTRY.
Paolo Meneguzzi II, as you are a 'Swiss-Italian pop sensation', I suggest you to record a breath-taking duet with Lady Sarantuya, the Mongolian pop sensation. I am sure both of you singing together wi'll be able to storm the charts around Europe
You will find her posts here in ESCtoday. Don't miss the chance to contact her!!! Altaic-italian pop is the new trend.
I wouldn't buy their CD in a hurry. I find their Eurovision song absolutely idiotic and a complete waste of space.
- Fabio Deluca
Well, I would say its happy in a very silly way!!!!
There's a difference between 'happy' and 'silly'. And silly (this is just an euphemism) fits this song better...
Are THIS "Happy"?! the only happiness this "song" gives, must be to the costume-outlets..
The worrying thing about this song is that it wouldn't look out of place in junior eurovision!!!! But I still love it!
Good luck to Latvia from the UK
- P. Eriksson
LOL, I love your sarcasm!!
@Jonny K: The same person?!..."No way"
OMG!!! Now you did it just in ONE second!...New record!!
10 more days for esc, i can't wait to go to Belgrade!!! GO MACEDONIA!!! my other favs are Slovenia, Bosnia and Bulgaria. Sweden, Serbia and Norway are good too!
I hope Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Ireland won't get points!!!
- P. Eriksson
OMG, you're right!!! Only 3 seconds!! That proves that they are the same person!!
- Stockholm Calling
Yeah, it would be great wouldn't it!!! Well, I live in hope!
Spot on!!!!!
Yes! I agree with him and he agrees with me!!!!!!
@the real Hero:
Do you agree with Zingo? In that case you are one of the fastest when it comes to read/react on this website! It took you just three seconds to comment he's reaction!...
I get a headache everytime I play this song, and that's something I tend to avoid. I prefer Estonia, it's funnier than these pathetic pseudo-pirates.
2 weeks for the Portugal's vitory with Senhora do Mar by Vania....
v n:
I don't know if you by "Swedes" refer to me. What I wanted to say in my post is that the Latvian entry is not my favourite but I think people will like it and vote a lot for it.
Jonny K:
Yes, wouldn't it.
What happened to the other "hero"?? He hasn't pestered us for ages, did he have his account removed?? (I hope so!!!
)
I agree!
