News - Portugal: Biggest ever Portuguese tour concluded | Eurovision Song Contest News - 2008 Belgrade, Serbia 

After Bulgaria there came Malta for the Portuguese representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. As esctoday.com reported previously, Vania had a full agenda with several events during her visit to Bulgaria and Malta . Vânia’s promotional tour started in Bulgaria on the 24 of April. She was the guest of the program of television Elit Lifestyle. On the following day, she was interviewed live for morning show of the public television of Bulgaria (BNT), the program Hristo Botev of the national radio (Art to efir), the Telegraph periodical and the program "Bulgaria in the Afternoon" on Darik radio. In the last day of the stay in Sófia, 26 of April, Vânia was the musical guest in the morning program  "Everybody in Front of the TV Screen" and had an interview on set with Mariana Popova ( Bulgaria  2006). The two singers interpreted a duet of Mariana Popova's new song, Destiny, a fado song, whose lyrics are in Portuguese and Senhora do Mar videoclip was shown on the same program.

The Portuguese promo on the maltese island started on the 27th of April . Shortly after her arrival , Vânia participated in the program Eurovision Fever, of ONE TV, organised for the OGAE of Malta, where Miriam was introduced to Christine (Malta 1996), who said she was a fan of Vânia’s voice and the Portuguese song and wished them good luck for Belgrade.

Vania was also one of the musical guests of the charity concert in aid of children with cancer that at the  Marsa Sports Hall.

The Portuguese singer and her producer Carlos Coelho had a meeting in a local restaurant with the representative of the Geórgia, Diana Gurtskaya, and her team. The two ladies sang their respective songs a capella, and received warm rounds of applause.

Vânia also met Mike Spiteri (Malta 1995), who will be part of the Maltese delegation of this year. The day after Vânia was interviewed for the It-Twist weekly and Radio 101.

On 29th April, the Portuguese representative participated in the programs of the morning of NET TV, "There Qomna Qomna", and of the TVM. That same day in the afternoon Vania was on the "Vitalita" show of NET TV, where she met Claudette Pace (representative of Malta in the Eurovisão in 2000).

Later she was interviewed for the tv show Lejn Il Eurovision, that will be broadcast the week of Eurovision. She recorded a message in Maltese for the public. The most extensive Portuguese promo tour ever finished with the interview to escmalta.com, and for the local radio Radju Kottoner.

Vania returned to Portugal where she has a full agenda working on the last details of her preparation for Belgrade.
