23rd club decides
OGAE Russia: 12 points to Ukraine
The Russian voting was divided in two rounds. In the first one each song was evaluated from 0 to 5. The Top 15 songs proceeded to the second round and were voted for in traditional Eurovision style. This is the verdict of OGAE Russia:
- 12 points Ukraine (301)
- 10 points Sweden (218)
- 8 points Greece (214)
- 7 points Armenia (212)
- 6 points Georgia (193)
- 5 points Serbia (181)
- 4 points Belarus (178)
- 3 points Azerbaijan (135)
- 2 points Slovenia (134)
- 1 point Germany (124)
Just missing out:
- Iceland (117)
- Hungary (116)
- Bulgaria (111)
- Czech Republic (102)
- Switzerland (87)
Sweden is still in the lead with 213 points, followed by Serbia with 133, Switzerland two points behind, Armenia with 115 and Ukraine with 111 points.
OGAE Russia is preparing a special prize for Ukraine from the club. It is becoming a good tradition, as last year the club gave a diploma to Greek participant Sarbel – the winner of OGAE-Russia Award 2007.

@Candyman
If Azerbaijan makes to the final. It will get 12 points from Russia
wow OGAE is also voting for ex-soviet countries.
Armenia will get the twelve points and Ukraine 10points.
And last year's twelve points(to Greece from OGAE) turned out to be out zero in the actual russian voting.
i`m so dissapointed...what about MACEDONIA..and their song ?
they sing on russian language too...and the version is fantastic...they deserve at least 5 points from RUSSIA
Russia thank you for the 8 points but i think that the voting is going to be a bit different.I hope that i am wrong.
Kisses from GREECE.........

I agree 100%!
Eurovision is becoming more predictable and with so many countries voting, we never have the exciting voting sequences like we used to, before the semi-finals were introduced, eg 2003
Although this year, I don't think there is a clear winner, so the voting should hopefully be a little more tense this year!
@ Jonny K
Forget about the Big4. You're right - the British entry is quite nice and Andy is IMO an excellent performer. But I think that UK and France will end up in similar positions like last year although both of them would deserve to join the Top10. Perhaps Spain will end up a bit higher, or perhaps Germany because of some points of Bulgaria (one band member is Bulgarian) and a few Eastern nations who appreciate the girlgroup-showing-legs-effect - who knows...
But UK and France who have the better songs of the Big4 IMO won't stand a chance.
To be honest: I wouldn't be surprised if the final outcome is the same like the one the Russian OGAE club offered us here... (with the slight exception that Germany won't come in at tenth place...)
and still one thing: You said that one never can predict Eurovision. You're right. The magic of the Contest consisted in a way in that fact. But in recent years, you can predict it more and more - and that's what ruining it...
@Zauvijek Tose: Yes, and that is your opinion. o.o This type of song usually does very well in OGAE. But I do think that this year is a weak enough year for Sweden to make top3. =]
The real voting will be much different
@ D K
the scorebord is in perfect condition. How did you calculate the points? Do not try to bring Serbia to second place)
:
[u][b]I want one poll : DO YOU THINK OGAE VOTES ARE TRUE AND THE COUNTRIES WILL VOTE THAT WAY!
Can anybody give a link to Eurovision 2008 CD COVER (I only need back, I have front)
Thanks
somebody PLEASE tell me why people are favouring the SWEDISH entry - no offence intended but it is NOTHING special - it doesn't stand out AT ALL! its an okay pop-y song with an average singer!
Ukraine has one of the best songs this year. Well deserved!
What a shock! NOT! I hope that the silicon breasts of the Ukranian woman don't burst on stage when she performs. Cause the song is definately not going to break the balance
No wonder, since the song is Russian ...
excellent voting (with a slight exception). I am never tired to say I LOVE YOU RUSSIAN FEDERATION.
Wow, excepting my own country and Jelena's song, which I like, the OGAE Russia votes almost match my worst songs of the 2008 edition list. Well, you cannot argue taste, can you? Yes, you can: crap, crap, crap!
- Darko S.
Yeah, 2001 and 2002 were some of the worst eurovision winners, I think the whole of europe must have been drunk on those nights!
However Estonia and Latvia were great hosts so that kind of makes up for it!!
And its nice to hear that you like the UK entry, we need all the support we can get!!
That's a pretty standard OGAE top10. Although what is Belarus doing so high up? The ESC version is just plain AWFUL, in my opinion.
I quite liked the old version too...
Jonny, the UK entry is light years ahead of "Everybody" and nowhere near that bizarre, incoherent drivel. And that from someone unbiased.
I'm obviously glad for Estonia and Latvia to have won the contest, but what they won it with and, in relation to that, how, remains a mystery to me.
These predictions don't mean anything! I'm sure it will be totally different in real ESC!
I'm actually surprised Azerbaijan didn't get more points from Russia. I am not a big fan of the song, but I thought Azerbaijan would pick up higher points from Russia
LOL, well I certainly wasn't expecting any points for the UK cos I think europe has forgotten our song even exists!!! It isn't that bad . . . . . is it?
The British song is ok, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets nil points. It is the final where everyone can vote, and the votingpatterns are getting more obvious year by year. Maybe Malta and Ireland will save the UK's day, but I wouldn't count on more.
Hehe, 10 points to Sweden that always gets 8, 10 and 12 points. "Hero" is still in the lead with big difference, last year Serbia was in the lead, this year Sweden, so OGAE's can predict the winning song regardless if the positions in the rest of the list is not 100%
- Matthew Eurovision
I hope so aswell, but unfortuanatley I don't think europe recognises quite how good our song is!!!!
Yes the draw is againest UK again

Andy good luck
PLEASE OGAE GIVE YOUR NEXT 12 POINTS TO THE UNITED KINGDOM.
