Iceland: Euroband's London video diary
The band were a huge hit with the 1,200 stong crowd at London's Scala in Kings Cross. They performed a medley of Eurovision Song Contest entries including Helena Paparizou's My number one, Ruslana's Wild Dances and Gina G's Ooh Aah just a little bit as well as their cover of the 1978 winner, A ba ni bi before performing their entry for the 2008 competition, This is my life.
As you can see from the footage below, the song is hugely popular with the British crowd who sang the song back to Euroband at the end of their performance. Watch Iceland's video diary from their London stop and the UK Eurovision Preview Party below:

I REALLY LOVE ALL THE SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES... ALSO ICELAND....THEIR MUSIC IS PERFECT AND ALSO THEIR CULTURE.I ALWAYS VOTE FOR ONE OF THESE COUNTRIES.I ALWAYS WANTED A FRIEND FROM THESE COUNTRIES.

I don't really agree Molly. I think the public was quite optimistic last year for example. But obviously that didn't work out, so hopefully Fridrik and Regina prove themselves on the big night.
Every year everyone in Iceland slags off the song. It's a national passtime isnt it? If they don't like it why did they pick it? Everyone everywhere else likes it anyway.

They are extremely ... hmmm ... artificial, which is normally a good thing for me. I don't know in this particular case though. Imo, they simply aren't good or extravagant enough to be entitled to artificiality. The way they present themselves seems a bit stale, volitional, and desperate ... like two ambitious kids from the Black Forest trying to make it in London, Berlin, or New York.

As far as the position Iceland will end up in... I do hope it will be the 1st as Iceland has never won, but twice licked the back of the victory (2nd 1999 and 4th 1990), but I'm sceptic about it!

Good song but not a winner; 2nd place perhaps.
This band is going to make it folks.I hope we will be able to get their debut album on may 5.2008. i would be greatful if some of the icelandic can tell us where to get it from iceland.
