Biography
Vesna Pisarovic is very popular in her own country. The singer has released two albums and she is considered to be the most photographed woman in the country. She was born in Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1982 she moves to Pozega, her parents’ home town. From her earliest childhood she attends a music school, where she plays the flute, sings in choirs and participates in various music contests.
After she moved to Zagreb with her band she began singing in clubs and writing songs. Her career reached a turning point in 1997 when she performed on Croatian festival Zadarfest. There she met Milana Vlaovic, the author of music and lyrics of the song that won her victory on this year’s DORA, as well as the author of numerous other songs she wrote. Milana and Vesna worked together and this resulted in two albums: a debut album "If you knew", released in 2000 (the best-sold debut- album in Croatia in 2000) and the second album "Made for you" from 2001 (the best-sold woman singer in Croatia this year).
During these five years of working together with Milana Vlaovic, Vesna Pisarovic won awards on numerous festivals, and her third album is fortcoming, the first song on it being "Everything I want", the song that brought her victory on this year’s DORA.
