Biography
Lindsay Dracass was discovered at just 13-year-old by Alan Wood, who heard her sing at a charity show in their hometown of Sheffield. Taken by her beautiful voice, Alan Wood became her manager, and introduced her to yet another son of Sheffield, the internationally renowned songwriter Paul Carrack. As a result, in the last twelve months Lindsay has performed live as a backing singer in the UK, Europe and the US with Paul Carrack. And along the way, she has already fulfilled two major career ambitions by performing live in Los Angeles and at the 2000 Glastonbury Festival.
Lindsay Dracass’s recording career was launched in March. It is precisely "No dream impossible" that has been chosen to be the song that will take Lindsay to a new level in her career.
The song that will introduce Lindsay Dracass to the European audience as a solo act, was written by the legendary songwriter Russ Ballard, who wrote and composed "No dream impossible" together with his colleague Chris Winter. Russ Ballard’s songs have sold millions and his list of international hits is long. He has written songs for Kiss, Roger Daltry and Santana among others.
And Russ Ballard has a small connection to the Eurovision Song Contest. Both Frida and Agnetha from ABBA have recorded some of his songs.
