Marcel Palonder was born in 1964. He completed his studies at the Conservatory of Music in Bratislava and Brno in 1986, and has been active in the musical arena ever since. In 1989 he had to emmigrate and he settled in the South of France. He studied opera and sang in the Opera Choir in Monaco. After the "quiet" revolution in Slovakia, he returned to his country where he recorded his first solo record. In 1992, he formed the group Accidents Happen for which he composed, produced, arranged and performed. In 1994 he paricipated in the Glastonbury Festival in England as the first act from the former Eastern Block country. In the years ahead, he plans to take part in festivals at home and abroad.

Juraj Burian was born in 1963, and began to play the guitar at the age of ten. He continued to study music at the Conservatory of Music in Bratislava between 1986-91. In his student days, he was an active studio musician and collaborated with many jazz players. He has worked with the Slovakian Philharmonic Orchestra, and has composed music for film and television. In 1991, he won the Slovakian prize for "Instrumentalist of the Year". The year after, he was awarded a stipend to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

Jozef Urban was born in 1964, and is one of the youngest songwriters in Slovakia. He studied business at the university but wrote poetry on the side. His first collection of poetry was published in 1985, and since then, three more collections have reached the bookstore. He has also written a children's book and been the editor of a literary magazine for young people. Today he is a full-time poet, but also writes lyrics for Slovakian singers. In 1993, he won the Slovakian "Grammy" award. [Notes from the Official 1996 Programme by NRK]
