Biography
Maja Blagdan is 28 years old, and was born in Split, where she was a success in amateur music festivals from the age of 14. From 1986-1990, she sang in the group The Rocks. Maja had gathered considerable experience with well-known musicians and groups before she moved to Zagreb in 1992 and started to work with Zrinko Tutic, who is one of the most famous composers and producers in Croatia. The collaboration was successful, and in 1993, she released her first record. In 1994 she received the prize for Croatia's best Newcomer of the year, and she also made a second record. Since 1992, Maja had been acclaimed by all the most important newspapers and magazines in Croatia.
Zrinko Tutic is an extremely popular composer, singer, songwriter and producer of pop, rock and film music in Croatia. He was born in Banja Luka in 1955, but moved to Zagreb in 1973. Zrinko has participated in most of the important pop music festivals in Croatia and the former Yugoslavia; and in doing so, has been awarded countless prizes. Over 30 of his songs have been recorded outside Croatia by leading European record companies. Zrinko has taken part in the contest twice before - in Bergen in 1986! - and in Zagreb in 1990.
