Biography
Elisabeth Andreasson, aged 36, is a former winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, as one half of Bobbysocks!, the successful Norwegian combination at Gothenburg in 1985, and successful participant for Sweden in 1982 as one half of the duo Chips. She is a popular figure on the Norwegian light entertainment scene, both as a singer and as a comedienne. Jan Werner Danielsen is seventeen, and is highly regarded as one of the rising stars.
At 39 years of age Rolf Løvland is one of Norway's most prodigious and successful composers, and was the author of the winning song. La det Swinge, at Gothenburg in 1985, as well as having composed the Norwegian entry on one other occasion (1987 Kate Gulbrandsen's Mitt Liv) and conducted at the contest in Malmö (1992) and Millstreet (1993). In 1996 he wrote the most outstanding song at the World Popular Song Festival in Japan.
Hans Olav Mørk is a priest in the backstreets of Oslo, but he also takes songwriting seriously. Duett was written specially for tonight's performers.[Notes from the Official 1994 Programme by RTÉ]
