Biography
Eva Santamaria comes from Andalusia and was brought up to the music and rhythm of southern Spain. Since her debut at the age of 16, Eva has won two important Spanish television contests and has come to the attention of the Spanish critics and public. She has recorded a 'Sevillanas' album and has performed with some of the top names in Spanish music. Now 22, Eva uses her voice in a highly individual and Spanish way. Her new album 'A Buen Puerto' was recorded in Los Angeles.
Composer and lyricist Carlos Toro was born in Madrid. A graduate in Political Science and a reporter with the newspaper 'El Mundo', he divides his time between journalism and his work as a musician. He has released about 400 tracks and his songs have been recorded by the big names of Spanish music.
Eduardo Leiva is in charge of the orchestra for the Spanish entry 'Hombres'. [From the 1993 Programme by RTÉ]
