Biography
Anabela who sings for Portugal, divides her time between music and the study of psychology. She began singing at the age of seven and at twelve won Portugal's 'Fado Gala'. In 1991 she won the 'Fidof Award' in Poland and in 1992 the 'Silver Çesme' in Turkey. Her win at the RTP Song Festival came as no surprise to the competing composers, all of whom wanted Anabela to sing their song
Pedro Abrantes is a percussionist and performs with some of the top Portuguese musicians. Marco Quelhas has recorded two albums with his own band 'Karamuru'. Paulo Dacosta is a brilliant composer and performer. He has composed 18 LPs of original music and using the name Paulo de Carvalho sang in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest and again in 1977 as one of the members of Os Amigos. Although not a big success at the actual contest, his 1974 entry was the start signal for a revolution in Portugal.
