Lakahat Shiru is made up of six popular Israeli singers, Sara Sharon, star of a television series; Rachel Haim, singer, dancer and actress; Julia, new star from the former USSR; Benny Nadler, stage and television artist; Guy Brakha, vocalist, and Varda Zamir, musician, singer and voice trainer.
Shaike Paikov is a prolific composer and is also a conductor, arranger and lyricist. He is one of Israel's more famous composers and has written music in all genres. Shaike Paikov has participated in song festivals around the world and has produced about 600 songs. This is his second appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest, "Derech Ha'melech" for Gili ve Galit in 1989 being the first one.
Yoram Tahar-Lev has been one of Israel's top lyricists for more than 30 years and many of his songs have become Israeli pop classics. Tahar-Lev's books of poetry have been best sellers and his children's books, many of them illustrated by himself have become standard fare in Israeli nursery schools and kindergartens. Like Shaike Yoram wrote an Israeli entry before. He added the lyrics to Avi Toledano's "Hora" in 1982.
Amir Fröhlich has worked on the musical arrangement of 'Shiru' and will direct the orchestra in Millstreet. [From the 1993 Programme by RTÉ]
