Biography

Kiev ConnoIly founded "The Missing Passengers" in 1985. Mary Mulcahy (vocals) is a performer whose musical versatility ranges from light music and rock to opera. Paul Seymour (keyboards) has been a choral master and musical director for several years. He began playing rock in 1983 and has since been in demand for live and session studio work. Martin Dunlea (lead guitar) is self taught, and gained experience playing many styles including rock, jazz, traditional and blues. Victor Coughlan (bass) has been in the music business since leaving school. Having built his own studio, he then concentrated on live sound engineering, studio engineering and playing bass and acoustic guitar. Des Field is a versatile drummer whose range includes jazz, rhythm 'n' blues, soul and rock.

Kiev Connolly comes from Cork, Ireland and has been writing songs and singing since leaving school. In 1978, he emigrated to Germany, playing his songs in folk pubs. He then moved to West Berlin as studio session musician, synthesizer programmer and producer. In 1985, he formed his band which signed with Ariola/RCA Germany. They toured Europe extensively, appearing on TV with major stars. He returned to Ireland in 1987 and now concentrates on producing new material.

Noel Kelehan is conductor/arranger with Radio Telefis Éireann. He studied music in Dublin and New York. First broadcast as a pianist at the age of 19, he has since been involved in stage, radio and TV as performer, arranger and conductor. He directed the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin in 1971, 1981 and 1988 and also composed the opening theme music in 1971 and 1981.
