Jump the Gun are hoping to go all the way with Take Him Home which has already generated lots of interest from the record companies. The song is included in their forthcoming debut album. They've been together for two years, and released their first single "Bad Habits" last summer which received a lot of attention on the Irish market. Jump the Gun comprises Peter Eades, vocals and keyboard, Roy Taylor, (bass), Brian O'Reilly, (drums), Eric Sharpe, (guitar and vocals), Ciaran Wilde, (saxaphone and clarinet).
Well-known in Irish music circles, Peter Eades has been writing songs since he was sixteen, many of which have been recorded by Irish artists. In his capacity as director and sound engineer in one of Dublin's top recording studios, Peter has worked with some of Ireland's most popular recording acts.
No stranger to Eurovision, Noel Kelehan has conducted the Eurovision orchestra for Ireland's entry on many occasions. He also composed the opening film music for previous Eurovision Song Contests in Dublin in 1971 and 1981. His professional career as a pianist started when he was 19, and since then he has been involved in stage, radio and television as pianist, arranger and conductor. A staff conductor and arranger at RTÉ, Noel is also highly regarded both as a composer and a jazz pianist. [Notes from the Official 1988 Programme by RTÉ]
