>From the same country that produced Sibelius we are about to hear the ensuing lyric - "Let your hips go hippety pump-pump - that's the way we dance 'til we die ay, ay ay. Let your hips go hippety pump-pump - give me shivers all down my spine ay ay ay". Of course Sibelius must be doing hand-springs in his grave. Mind you worse lyrics have won... The person that actually wrote that is the large chap with the moustache. He's Fredi, all six-feet 5 inches, 17 cuddly stone of him. He's a superstar in Finland and has written innumerable songs and all of them have made Finland's top ten. Fredi took part in the Eurovision in Vienna in 1967 - that time purely as a singer - this time he is composer as well...
The real name of Fredi and The Friends was Fredi & Ystävät, but for the contest the name was translated into English. The group consisted of six members. The names of five of the six members of this group are: Matti Siitonen (Fredi), Antti Hyvarinen, Titta Jokinen, Anneli Koivisto (one of the Koivisto Sisters from the 1971 contest) and Irma Tapio.
