Biography
Pierre Rapsat is 27 years of age, was born in Brussels and was one of the composers of the song. He started out as a rock singer, faithfully imitating the Rolling Stones style. After six years of changing groups and generally making little progress, he decided to write his own songs and try to develop an individual style. It would appear he was very successful in the change-over as he is now regarded as one of the most creative composers in Belgium and France. He is a gifted musician. On his first album he played every instrument himself. After the contest Pierre Rapsat continued to have hits with songs like J'Ai Perdu L'Amérique
The other composer, Eric van Hulse, is Belgium's top record-producer and he is also a singer of some note and speaks half-a-dozen languages fluently. [From the RTÉ Commentary]
