Biography
Katja Ebstein (born 09/03/45 Karin Witkiewicz in Girlachsdorf) entered the show business in 1965, when she recorded her first single Nur Der Wind Kennt Meine Träume. Although this single flopped, she got another chance, when she met Christian Bruhn shortly afterwards. Christian became her producer, songwriter and her husband. And their first collaboration was on Katja's 1967 single Wie Ein Kind. But as fate would have it, the success came, when Christian joined Katja on stage for her first appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest, something she would repeat in 1971 and 1980. Wunder Gibt Es Immer Wieder became her first hit, a hit that would be followed many others. Christian and Katja would divorce at the end of the 70's, therewith also ending there artistical collaboration.
