Biography
Domenico Modugno (born 09/01/28 in Polignano a Mare) was so successful at the end of the 50s that nothing could prevent him from winning the San Remo Festival for the second consecutive year. This allowed him to enter into the Eurovision Song Contest once more. Piove wasn't that big in the contest, but like Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu (covered by many artists as Volare), Piove was taken into the charts by a great number of artists around the world, sometimes as Ciao Ciao Bambina. It would become the best known song from this year's entries.
