I always try to follow national finals in many countries and get to know new music records from different regions of Europe.
I look for good pop songs, interesting rock compositions or original ethno records. I would limit a number of "typical eurovision songs", like swedish schlagers or balkan disco songs (Of course these ones are only a instances - generally i really like many songs from Melodifestivalen or balkan national finals) - btw. I really regret that Sweden didn't send Pain of Salvation to Oslo in 2010.
I am also very thankful for some european countries, which take a part in Eurovision and every yeah can surprise me with a interesting and different song, like Moldova, Bulgaria, Estonia, Israel, France etc. - in so far as Estonia, i think they had best national final in 2010.
