My story

Angelic Loves Kenan & Kyla ft Crazy Cousinz- Do You Mind

Hi everybody my name is Angelic and I love Eurovision :D

I was born and currently live in North London and I am of Turkish-Cypriot origin. I have watched Eurovision ever since I was a child but I really started getting into it after Sertab Erener won for Turkey in 2003 which to me was one of the very best Turkish entries. Her victory also led to the presentation of an enchanting Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, which gracefully expressed the rich colourful culture of Turkey such as from Turkic Shamanism to the Anatolian Horon Dance. :)

I would describe myself as a very opinionated person if I have an opinion about something then i will voice it regardless of what other people might think. I respect those who respect me and I choose my words according to the person. So those who speak in a respectable manner will have my respect and those who don't will NOT. I think this is the main reason why I clash with so many of the same childish people on this site and why some people might think I am aggressive or rude. It makes no difference to me how people perceive me because I feel everybody has their own individual character. We can't all be the same otherwise that would be very very very mundane!

What I love about Eurovision is that it tends to embrace differences in music, language, and culture. I have always regarded the contest as something which aims to bring people together (in particular people of European background). Unfortunately some egocentric people do not see it that way :( to them it is all about me me me and my own country! I think this mentality is very sad and boring and largely stems from ignorance. In contrast to these types of people I think it is quite nice and exciting to embrace different music, language, and culture as well as learn about them.

I am also someone who likes different types of music, I enjoy listening to a bit of everything and don't stick to a specific kind. :)

I really enjoy listening to instrumental music (no lyrics involved) as music alone sometimes tells you more of a story than lyrics do. You can feel love, happiness, pain, hardship and so on in certain instrumental music. This is the reason why I sometimes think music alone does more of a good job of bringing people together than language does. I suppose you could argue that music is a universal language and is therefore, understood by everybody in each corner of the world. :)

I love interacting with people and I think I have good social skills because I tend to get along with people from all ages, gender, and racial/cultural backgrounds. So please don't hesitate to contact me as I enjoy making new friends :)

The 2010 ESC entries which seem to strike me the most at the moment are as follows:

1) Manga- We Could Be The Same (Turkey)
2) Didrik Solli-Tangen- My Heart Is Yours (Norway)
3) Marcin Mrozinski- Legenda (Poland)
4) Tom Dice- Me and My Guitar (Belgium)
5) Daniel Diges- Algo Pequenito (Spain)
6) Jon Lilygreen & The Islanders- Life Looks Better In Spring (Cyprus)
7) Gjoko Taneski- Jas Ja Imam Silata (Macedonia)
8) Niamh Kavanagh- It's For You (Ireland)
9) Miro- Angel Si Ti (Bulgaria)

I am currently addicted to Hadise's new 2010 track "Kahraman" (Hero) :P it is alot more classy, mellow, and sophisticated than her Eurovision entry which was nice but was NOT well suited to her voice (especially her live voice) :)

Also LOVE Beyonce ft Lady Gaga- Videophone (L) (L) (L)

Still LOVING AND ADDICTED TO (L) (L) Kyla ft Crazy Cousinz- Do You Mind (L) (L) (L) I am just wondering WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE A TRACK LIKE THAT FROM THE UK IN EUROVISION??? WE WOULD WIN FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!

Thankyou for reading my personal profile I will keep you updated :) (L)
