My story

Hi All,
I'm a 28 yo guy from Ireland & I am crazy about Eurovision.
However, I am also crazy about Sweden's Song Contest Melodifesitvalen, it is addictive!

I am watching Eurovision nearly all my life but I suppose about mid 80's I started to get into it as I was old enough. I loved sitting in home with my family watching it, we would get so proud of Ireland, like everyone does of their own country really! Unfortunately, it is quite hard to be proud of Irleland in recent years, except for Brian Kennedy in 2006.

Anyway, I have been fortunate enough to make it to the Eurovision in Athens in 2006 & I got to see Carola live who I absolutely adore! I have been following her like crazy now since about March 2006.
I have not been able to get tickets yet for Melodifestivalen but I would sell everything I own to get there!!

Myself & some of my friends hold a Eurovision party & a seperate Melodifestivalen party without fail every year for the last 4 years & maybe you could come & join us sometime if you like! We also do sometime have Eurovision Fancy Dress!
How could you not??

I have all the Eurovision CD's back as far as 2001.
I have all the Eurovision DVD's except for 1956 & 1964 which apparently cannot be got!
I have all the Melodifestivalen DVD's back to 2004 & have 2003 on Video.
I have all the Melodifesitvalen CD's back to 2004. ( Trying to get the others back to 2002).

At the moment, my favourite Eurovision entrant has to be Sweden, they have great music nearly every single year! I try to follow all the charts in Sweden & often take trips to Sweden for a weekend to shop & collect all the latest Eurvosion & non Eurovision related CD Albums.
I have been to Sundsvall once, Stockholm once & Gothenburg five times.

Looking forward to it all again this year!
Melodifestivalen is starting this coming Feb & I will be watching on the net like last year. I am hoping to get SVT Europe on my TV soon!

Would love to hear from all Eurovision or Melodifestivalen fans out there!
Especially any Swedish people!
