My story

Didier Verleyen

Hi Europe;-)
I am a big eurovision fan, and feel very much European. The eurovision song contest is about Europe coming together and throwing the party of the year!!!

Best Eurovision performance EVER!! - Viktor Lazlo (Breathless)!!

Eurovision 2010

My favourites....

1. Switzerland
This makes me laugh so hard!!
Memories of summers in Antwerp in the eighties;-)). Reminds me of "Voyage Voyage" by Desireless and sounds very Mylène Farmer-esque!
The singer scores very high on the Gay Factor, sadly....a bit less on the X-Factor rating;-)).
By the Way..? Am I the only one that thinks the title of this entry is HILLARIOUS!! "Il pleut de l'or" - "Golden Shower" anyone???? LOL!

This year "The ones that make my toes curl"
1. Russia - Lost And Forgotten. ...Need I say more???

Eurovision 2009

My absolute favourite....

1. La "douce" France!

Patricia Kaas - S'ill Fallait Le Faire
This is without doubt going to be one of the classic eurovision entries... a very commendable effort from the French and a perfect illustration of the new french "renaissance";-)

This song serves as a perfect soundtrack for a gloomy sunday afternoon.

I will be voting for the French this year!!!!!

And if by any chance we would be visiting Paris in 2010, can we have "madamme Sarkozy" Carla Bruni singing for the French...PLEASE!

2. Estonia

Urban Symphony - R¤ndajad

Even though I don't understand a single word this girl is singing about, I do seem to understand what this song is about.. (maybe it has to do with the global financial meltdown???)

Mark my words, this will do very well in Moscow!

Unless of course the weather turns good (and the financial meltdown;-)) and we will all be voting "like crazy" for something like "Balkan Girls". LOL

3. Germany

Oscar Loya - Miss Kiss Kiss Bang

Germany seems to be building quite a reputation for itself when it comes to quality in the Eurovision Song Contest, even though it hasn't been rewarded for it.
I still enjoy Texas Lightning and Roger Cicero (mmmmm) today.

Once again a great entry from the Germans. The BEST of the Up-Tempo bunch!

If there is any justice in Eurovision Land, this should do wonders.

4. Turkey

Hadise - Dum Tek Tek

Ahhh, my little European Princess. Proud of this girl!

The only thing I have to say about this...."C'est v¢chement bien, nous sommes tous des europ©ens";-)

You Go Girl!

5. Portugal

Flor-De-Lis - Todas As Ruas Do Amor

I love that Portuguese "vibe", also love the fact that the Portuguese entries (mostly) stay true to their cultural heritage.

Another one I will (probaly) be voting for! It is going to be an expensive evening.

OTHERS I LIKE:
- Bosnia Herzegovina: Bistra Voda
- Denmark: Believe Again

THE ONES THAT MAKE MY "TOES CURL";-))
- Romania: The Balkan Girls

My favorite countries

The following countries are my favorite Eurovision Song Contest participating nations;
France Spain
Belgium Sweden
Norway Bosnia & Herzegovina
Albania
