My story

Patrik Malmgren

I'm a 20-year old swede who always, more or less, has been interested in Eurovision Song Contest. I have always enjoyed to hear songs in different languages, and is there a better opportunity than ESC for that? Well okey, nowadays many countries sings in english and that's little sad. But on the other hand, it's easier to understand! When will Sweden sing in swedish again? It must be 10 years ago since last time... ! I don't really know when I first came in touch with ESC, but it was in 1999 when Charlotte Nilsson won with "Take Me To Your Heaven" (Tusen och en natt) for Sweden, that I became more interested. After that I have followed the contest more and more... Not to speak about the swedish pre-selection, "Melodifestivalen".
