My story
Stefan Engel
My very first memories of TV are from 1967, the Grand Prix d'Eurovision de la chanson from Vienna. Still very young ( only 4 years ) and tired that evening I felt assleep directly after the show started. But I woke up when my mother started to complain, that this lady from the UK did only win, because she had no shoes on stage.... a kind of scandal at that time.... but I loved "Puppet on a string" the sound was like a kids song, perfect for my age ;-))
Later my dream started to take part in the ESC. But unfortunately I do have no voice, I am not able to play any instrument- so what could I do? At school I trained my English and French and hoped, that Germany will win the ESC one day and I may become the host on stage to welcome Europe... Nobody knows me- my plan did not work. But nowadays I write lyrics and I look for composers all over the world to create the music.
