My story

Lee Williscroft-Ferris

Hey! My name's Lee and I'm 28 and live in Hexham, near Newcastle in the UK. I first became seriously obsessed with the contest after the 1992 event which I thought was fantastic! I was a militant fan throughout the 1990s but am now what I would call 'dedicated' rather than 'obsessed'! I love France, Iceland and Poland in the contest and one of my favourite songs ever is 'Ale Jestem' (POL 1997), as well as 'To Nie Ja!' (POL 1994) and 'Open Your Heart' (ICE 2003). I'm getting a bit sick of all the political voting of late though. Although I accept that neighbouring countries will probably share common musical taste, I think it's turning the whole thing into a bit of a joke. As for my home country, why don't we send someone REALLY big?! We are famous worldwide for our fab music so why not send the Sugababes or Girls Aloud for example?! Imagine 'Push the Button' as a Eurovision entry!! And the British public is so far behind on what Europe wants to hear. I mean, what was with Scooch? Cyndi so would have been Top 5!
