My story

Tom :)

Hi, my name is Tom and I've been a Eurovision fan since 2002. Usually, my favourite songs are the ballads, or the folk-influenced songs. However, my favourite songs are mostly from east Asia, particularly Japan.

The order of preference towards the winners goes like this:
1 (best). Greece (2005)
2. Serbia (2007)
3. Turkey (2003)
4. Ukraine (2004)
5. Finland (2006)
6. Russia (2008)
7. (worst). Latvia (2002)

Stages:
1. Belgrade (2008)
2. Helsinki (2007)
3. Kiev (2005)
3. Athens (2006)
4. Riga (2003)
5. Tallinn (2002)
6. Istanbul (2004)

Overall song quality:
1. 2007
2. 2008
3. 2005
4. 2003
5. 2006
6. 2004
7. 2002

My favourite ESC country at the moment is probably Albania. In 2004 it sent a good song, in 2005 a great song, a good song again in 2006, a very good song in 2007 and a great song for 2008 this year. They consistently send good songs to ESC.

2002:
Favourite: United Kingdom, Jessica Garlick - Come Back
Least favourite: Germany, Corinna May - I Can't Live Without Music; Finland, Laura - Addicted To You
Other noticeably good songs: Malta, Ira Losco - 7th Wonder; France, Sandrine François - Il faut du temps

2003:
Favourite: Turkey, Sertab Erener - Everyway That I Can
Least favourite: Russia, t.A.T.u. - Ne ver', ne bojsya (I can't believe it came third! What a tuneless performance); Germany, Lou - Let's Get Happy
Other noticeably good songs: Belgium, Urban Trad - Sanomi

2004:
Favourite: Cyprus, Lisa Andreas - Stronger Every Minute
Least favourite: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Deen - In The Disco
Other noticeably good songs: Serbia & Montenegro, Željko Joksimovic; - Lane Moje; Ukraine, Ruslana - Wild Dances

2005:
Favourite: Israel, Shiri Maimon - Hasheket Shenish'ar/Time To Say Goodbye
Least favourite: Estonia, Suntribe - Let's Get Loud
Other noticeably good songs: Lebanon, Aline Lahoud - Quand tout s'enfuit (In hindsight I'm so sad it was withdrawn! What a great song)

2006:
Favourite: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hari Mata Hari - Lejla
Least favourite: Monaco, Séverine - La coco-dance; Spain, Las Ketchup - Bloody Mary
Other noticeably good songs: Ukraine, Tina Karol - Show Me Your Love; Norway, Christine Guldbrandsen - Alvedansen (these are two fantastic artists but these two are not their best songs, IMO)

2007:
Favourite: Moldova, Natalia Barbu - Fight
