My story
P. Eriksson
I’m a Swedish guy from central Scandinavia. An ESCfan since 2003, and a “guest-entrant" supporter.
About “guest-entrants” in the ESC: It’s a vision about that some countries/broadcasters outside Europe/EBU would be invited to compete in the ESC. Countries with large European(ancestral) diasporas and cultures very linked to the European one. Countries like:
Argentina
Australia
Brazil
Canada
Chile
Costa Rica
Cuba
Mexico
New Zealand
Puerto Rico
Uruguay
USA
Some special rules for guest-entrants (in my opinion, for the moment):
-Max’ 3 guest-entrants each edition of the ESC.
-Directly qualified for the Final.
-Will not be able to vote.
-Have to broadcast the Final live. Does not have to broadcast semi-finals.
-If one of the guest-entrants wins, they have to organize next ESC-edition, in cooperation with an EBU-broadcaster that operates in the venue they chosen to host the event in.
Guest-entrant countries/broadcaster that priorities/like the ESC most will be invited to participate in the contest. AUSTRALIA!
